Thoughts on ghostwriting

Whoa... Why are you deleting and resubmitting? All you should have to do is edit the existing story, submit it as an edit, and you maintain all the votes, comments, etc. That's true whether you're editing something that's up, something that's been rejected, or something that's been rejected after publishing due to user reports.

I just add a line or two and back up they go (minus those 16 years of votes and comments).

Isn't the case given one of Laurel having deleted the original? You can't just edit it if it's been deleted.

I freely admit to being basically computer illiterate. While it's relatively easy to edit stories that are still up, when stories simply "disappear" from the catalog without notice, how does one edit them? (I'm not saying that it can't be done, just that I don't know how to.)

Ah, thanks for pointing out the typo. It, of course, should have been (and now will be) "can't."
