Thoughts on Curiosity

I have always found curiosity to be an incredibly attractive trait in my partners. That little spark in the eye when one is curious about another human being. Some of my most pleasurable interactions have started with the desire to know how another human being‘s mind works. To explore and walk down the alleyways where we keep our secret desires hidden. Those desires that we rarely share in public. The pleasure of new discoveries shared with another person is the height of sexual satisfaction. Perhaps that is why the story section of this site is so popular. A little glimpse into another persons mind through their creativity and imagination.

Curiosity is the start of knowledge. Knowledge starts with a question. Usually in the realm of science it is a how question and in the realm of philosophy a why question. The scientific method although not perfect is humanities best effort at finding truths. Truths that are verified by experimentation in the real world. Experiments that are governed by the laws of nature and the universe. We ask a question and then reality check it with experimentation. Science is still vulnerable to all of our human biases, but it still remains our best method of arriving at truths. Over the centuries it has improved human existence and alleviated suffering in dramatic ways. From the removal of lead in our pipes to pasteurization to vaccinations. Human ingenuity and imagination has allowed us to probe the universe and discover the secrets that the universe guards so jealously.
