Question: Do most of you people actually know each other, and these are just cute little teasing and consensual "in-jokes" between friends, of which I am unaware... or are people on here just starting to get increasingly creepy?
(This is not meant to be a sarcastic post. I'm genuinely wondering if you all know each other, and these "jokes" are welcomed.)
Because from an outsider's perspective, all that I'm really seeing is a nice woman sharing a sexy photo for our enjoyment... and then we're telling her, not asking what she might be interested in, but telling her how we're going to grab her, and slap her, and bite her, and god knows what other subterranean bullshit so cleverly disguised with an erudite manner and clever vocabulary.
Maybe you do all know each other, and this is a welcome form of engagement... and if so, I apologize.
Or perhaps I'm just in a bad mood, and shouldn't be on Lit tonight... but I was in a fine mood before coming to Lit.

I see that you have only been a member of the Lit community for less than a year.. It is a community.. And as such if someone posts something that one doesn't agree with.. It is a very simple process to block and or just not enter the thread that upsets you..
This is a simple thread that invites people ( Any gender) to post a pic of their thongs on Thursday or in fact whenever they wish..
If there is a controversy. It will be dealt with..
Sorry if this thread put you in a bad mood..
Perhaps you should avoid it.

And this by the way is no invitation to mistreat a person who has willingly shared a pic of themselves in sexy panties.. let's enjoy them and show our appreciation with respect

I liked how the light made the picture resemble a watercolor. A very different effect from the usual washout or stars when the subject is backlit that way.

Of course you felt better before you came to Lit. Onanism has that effect on most people. I'll do my best to answer your questions in order.

I don't think most of the people in Am Pics actually know each other but there is a subset that know each other quite well outside of Lit. Biblically in some cases.

There are plenty of "in-jokes" and the more threads and comments you read the more you'll come across. Some of the Litsters have been posting for years. They've been through many cycles of the ups and downs of the communities culture. And, as Joxlrg mentioned, it truly is a community or as I see it in my head, a playground for playful adults.

I haven't noticed an increase in creepiness lately. If there was the community would probably respond pretty quickly to support those being creeped on and do their best to run off the creepers.

At less than a year on Lit, under 1000 posts and most of those reactions I can see why it's easy for you to adopt an outsider's point of view. You are entitled to feel however you want about a post however you are not entitled to tell others how they should feel. I'm not sure exactly which replies, clothed in an erudite manner or not, to which picture put you in a foul mood but you should really observe how the poster responds to comments describing what thoughts their picture created before you decide they're subterranean bullshit.

Why do two people on Am Pics have to know each other to welcome this form of engagement? And if they didn't welcome it do you really think ALL of them would just sit by idly and take what you see as abuse?

No apology necessary. We were all new fish once. We all found our voices on the forum in different ways. It's a positive sign that yours spoke up to share a perceived injustice. Just next time, barring clearly unusual and unacceptable vocabulary clever or not, I'd suggest you wait to see how the poster responds and cue off their reactions.

I do have a question or two of my own.
When you're engaging in your addiction and looking at pictures or maybe creating pictures in your head are they always about people you know? Or are they about completely different topics like your 401k performance or how much you enjoyed last night's dinner? I know that sounds snarky but it's meant to be a reminder that we're all much more alike deep down inside than we are different.
