Okay so for the past two weeks I've been needing to find the humor whenever I could. It hasn't been easy. Yesterday I didn't have to go looking for it, it seemed to find me just when I needed it most.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here in southern Florida. There were tons of bikes on the road including mine. I needed the ride to the hospital, the riding lets me recenter.

As I was heading down Route 1 I was passed by another rider. His was a somewhat loud Harley dressed up nicely. He was heavily tattooed and listening to his radio as he rode. (Which means his radio was loud, but nowhere near as loud as the Boom Box Cars we normally deal with.) He was also wearing the colors of the "Enforcers". When he rode past me he stuck his left hand out in the "wave" and my wife and I both returned it.

A short time later we came to a red light. He was in the right lane and right on the line. I was in the left lane and maybe three cars back. I could hear his music and watch as a white Mercedes SLC pulled in behind him. Behind us I could hear the rumble of many more bike engines coming down the road.

I sat there and watched at first in amusement then in shock as the driver of the Merc. rolled down his window and started screaming at the rider in front of him. Not only was he screaming at him but he was edging his car closer and closer to the rear of the bike. This was classic road rage.

The driver of the Merc. didn't stop. He kept on screaming and edging closer as the bikes came up behind me. The lead bike in this group was almost even with me when the front bumper of the Merc. came into contact with the rear tire of the bike. Still he didn't stop, he started pushing the bike into the intersection as the rider fought to keep it upright. I was starting to roll on the throttle to move forward and help out the rider when I heard the riders beside and behind me start cursing. They moved forward enmass and surrounded the car. Now the driver had a problem.

At least twenty very pissed off guys all wearing the colors of the Enforcers were now surrounding his car. Several of them had pulled out Cell phones and in the distance I could hear sirens starting up. I moved my bike to the side of the road and sat there watching as the police arrived.

The bikes moved away from the car and the driver of the Mercedes climbed out screaming at the police to have every one of the bikers arrested. You can imagine the look on his face when the police informed him he was under arrest. (Assault and Battery with a deadly weapon, car.)

I had to sit there with my side stand down until I stopped laughing.

Wait, what? What was his reason for wanting the bikers arrested? It must have been good (and by "good" I mean incredibly stupid and silly and I'm-rich-enough-to-own-a-Mercedes-so-everyone-MUST-bow-down-to-me-ish), so tell me what all he said, if you were able to hear all of it?

Some people, honestly!

I wish you had a camcorder with you for that one. It would be one hell of a hit on youtube! :D
