This Tiger is as sick as a Dog, now that is bad!

I'm a firm believer in home-made soup will kill all common illnesses. If my partner was sick in bed, I'd do whatever he asked of me to make him feel better, be it draw a bath, sponge bath, soup and crackers, cold pills. I'm a nurturing kinda gal. :)

BTW, Tiger, I have a nice pot of veggie beef soup simmering on my stove. I know it'd do wonders for you. Hope you feel better soon.

Make soup, get meds, whatever they needed. Now..if I got sick..that is a whole different story. :( Feel better soon, Tiger.

If you get sick, call me! I'll take care of ya :)

Personally,I would put you into bed and baby you.

Get you something to drink, make sure you are comfortable, get you to take your meds, and listen to you as you gripe and complain with a smile on my face. ;)

I would hold her hand, stroke her hair, feed her soup, get her meds. Hold her hair back when she puked, cover her with a blanket to keep her warm, get her juice to keep her hydrated, kiss her forhead to check her temp (hey it worked for mom) and sit up to wipe the sweat from her brow.

Nic, that whole "holding the hair" thing just earned you loads of bonus points with anyone who has evern had morning sickness. :D

Re: This Tiger is as sick as a Dog

For her anything she wants : soup, med, herbal teas with honey

But for you: here is the prescription

2 tablespoon of honey
3 tablespoon of rom (the stronger the better)

Mix rom and honey until liquid

Then add the stronger coffee you are able to drink. 1 cup before sleeping.

You are going to sweat out your sickness in one night.

So what would you do for your SO if he/she were sick as a dog in bed.

Take the day off and wait on her hand and foot. Plying her with lots of fluids, meds, and just camping out by her on the couch sitting on the floor so she knows I'm close in case she needs anything. (Did that recently) :)

I would care for her as if I wanted the same myself. I won't play pretty words for it all, but I would do so much and then leave her to rest and not worry about my presence. Just give me a minute to stop by the Healthy Pleasures on University and get her all she needs beside being comforted by me. Oh, you are sick and can't work, but I guess I will cover some of that rent. Ease the mind and soul and bring helath to the body through thoughts and comfort as you would desire yourself. Opps, I guess I got wordy, hee!

Ohhh, Nic...you are a true gentleman.

But when I am sick, I would want something more than a blanket to keep me warm;)

A Thermos of your favorite sick drink (no dye, I wouldn't want any stains.)
A bucket to vomit in, I don't do vomit, if you vomit you can empty it yourself because you are already sick.
The garbage can for your tissue.
The remote control.
Your drug of choice for your general misery.
Leave you alone to get over it.
