You know you've seen a movie too much when you can recite the ENTIRE script. I'm watching "The Shining," AGAIN!!!!!!!! Probably for the 200th time. Sorry, pointless thread, but I feel like posting a new thread.

As you can probably guess, I think that movie kicks ass!

Wendy... darling... light of my life...

You didn't let me finish my sentence. I'm not gonna hurtcha... I'm just gonna bash your brains in! I'm gonna bash 'em right the fuck in!

I laugh my ass off at that scene every time I watch it!

I might as well have a point to this thread

What film have you seen SO MUCH that you can at least recite more than 2 minutes of it? For me it's "The Star Wars Trilogy" or "Pulp Fiction."

Me too. Another great part

"Hi, Llyod. Kind of slow tonight, isn't it?"

"Jack their's a crazy woman in one of the rooms. She tried to strangle Danny."
"Are you out of your fucking mind?

And the look on his face when he says that... he really does look like he's drunk and insane!

Oh yeah... he's Jack Nicholson!

;)

Star Wars would definitely be on the list...

For some reason the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns seem to stick in my mind, too. Must have been all those times watching them with my dad...

I can pretty efficiently quote the lines of any of the Kevin Smith movies except Clerks, and also Orgazmo. I used to know tons of them by heart, but it's been so long since I've seen most of them that I doubt I'd still remember.

Weird Science

Weird Science played every night in the barracks break room when it was released on video. An entire room full of guys quoting every line as it was spoken by the actors. It was like a strange perversion of Rocky Horror Picture Show audience participation.

you can tell I spend too much time indoors

The Breakfast Club, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Scream, Orgazmo, Showgirls, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Citizen Ruth, The Curve, Candyman, Urban Legend, Forest Gump, Good Will Hunting, My Best Friend's Wedding, White Men Can't Jump, The Princess Bride.
But, I teach a class where I watch some of these movies every quarter. And read dozens of papers about them. Every quarter.

I really need to get some better movies on that list.

How about

When Jack's talking to Danny, and he repeats the same words the girls just said. And, I LOVE when Danny asks him "if he ever wanted to hurt him and Mommy." You can tell from his expression he's lying through his teeth.
