Don't sell construction short. Most trades are dying for women in their apprenticeship programs due to Federally mandated standards; and ANY woman that wants to give it a shot goes to the front of the line.

Look up the prevailing rates for the trades in your area...construction is good money, sometimes very good.

Also women who are especially smart are often made into PJ's much to a lot of guys' chagrin, but they're good at macro thinking. There's interior construction and painting and stuff too. I knew a girl who was a pipefitter and she was always loaded.
