This proves Texass is hopelessly fucked for all eternity.

Or...It proves that you are wrong yet again ...as usual.
Seriously though.

Just because you passionately believe in a certain viewpoint doesn't mean that it is the only one or that it is in focus with reality.

Yeah. took me a few to learn that.:D

".. On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur. "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford. "It is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford. "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they voted in more or less approximates to the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going in for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in.”

——Douglas Adams, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”

Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, San Francisco have been and will continue to be fucked, especially for 'marginalized" people, and they all have one thing in common....but that's somehow not an issue, now is it?

Funny how the people here who cry about systemic racism support and vote for the party that best represents it, but have something to say about everyone else.

That was a democratic decision by the people of Texas. While some, particularly the Uvalde parents, might be dismayed, the vote was their democratic right.

At least they were asked and have spoken.

5 months after the worst school shooting in Texas history, pro-gun Gov. Greg Abbott easily triumphed in Uvalde County

Speaking to the Texas Tribune, families of the victims killed in the Robb Elementary School shooting told of their disappointment with Abbott's win.

.......
Better stay out of pro-civil rights states then.

We all know how much you and the other leftoid Democrats hate those pesky civil rights.

A beautiful part of democracy in the USA is that you're free to move about and live in communities that more closely share your values. There are a lot of options for everyone.

If it's really an issue for some of those residents, there plenty of cities/states with very strict gun regulations they can move to.

Why doesn’t the country get mad when little kids get shot and/or killed by guns in Chicago?

Talking about inner city violence is racist, and highlight major Democrat failures.

Can't have that........it might cause politicians to feel pressure of some kind to do their fuckin' job and none of them want that.

This statement, that I whole heartedly agree with, just proves my point from another thread.

Professional politicians are so busy pandering to their parties, their core and the media in the race to keep their position, to get re elected that they don't have time to do what we elected them to do.

All I have heard for my entire life is politicians spouting the party line. And then voting along party lines. Even if they personally think it's wrong.

It seems that the cities with the strictest gun regulations are the most dangerous, who knew!!!

I know, right? That never happens in Houston.

https://abc13.com/tag/child-shot/

I don't think "never happens" was a standard anyone set, nice strawman though.

Disarming people and criminalizing self defense while protecting the previous criminals and their absolute right to violate normies at will is the Democrat way.

Unfortunately the only option to that is the conservative "criminalize all the things that have nothing to do with the actual crime!!!" method......both missing the mark competely leaving the American people with the choice incompetent shit sandwiches and incompetent giant douches. Democracy gone full retard.

They have the time, they have the authority, they just don't want to give up the golden carrots they dangle for votes.

It's like the abortion issue, Democrats with total power at state level and federally, in many cases even with bipartisan support to offer substantial legal protection to abortion rights opted to not actually do so. And most never will. Why? It's one of the best pieces of election fodder they've gotten in years.

The people just don't hold them accountable and vote them out for it.... and by 'them' I mean whatever their team is, whatever side they make endless excuses for.

When takers become the majority then politicians will continue to give away, it solidifies self preservation at our expense.

Abortion is a strawman argument. Most people want a reasonable medium.

Our country has become an inverted version of JFK's famous statement.

Yes.

Abortion is not a strawman argument, I used it of an example of politicians who won't fix the problems they say they want to do because they NEED that issue to campaign on.

Our country is a floundering carcass that hasn't realized it's dead yet..... like shot squirrel dancing around.

Looking in from the outside, my only thought is Americans and their obsession with guns is insane, and gun laws even more insane. If it were a plot line in a movie it would be rejected as being too absurd. Politicians prancing about displaying their hardware is akin to exposing yourself in front of children.

Seek help. Your children will grow up to live and then be able to thank you.

california has some of the strictest gun laws with fewer deaths by gun per capita on average.

who knew?

not you.

that's who.

horton.
