I'll pinch them bratcat. I use stories a lot with people who've lost hope -
When I was younger I'd no interest in the day at a time philosophy. I wanted it all there and then.
I was a great planner, everything worked out, and plan B,C,D....
Your fisrt story is the paradigm of a bit at a time
