I’m pleased to announce that I’m getting my first vaccine dose this Saturday. The hope is, other than gaining immunity and thus avoiding a third COVID infection, that this will help with my post-COVID symptoms.

Wonderful news. I have heard that. Some people's immune system reaction is to absolutely bomb it with all it has got, and post immunization the reaction becomes ok we've got this covered.
Pleased you are starting to power up again.

Today I post something very sexy; my first Fauci Ouchie. Vaccination is sexy. I go back for my second dose on May 1st.

I got the Pfizer vaccine, which is the one that’s supposed to help with post-COVID symptoms, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that. For now, I have some pretty bad fatigue and a slight headache. The headache could be unrelated, though. I’m prone to those.

I’m one step closer to contributing to herd immunity.

Yay! So glad you got your vaccine, Drac, I had my first shot yesterday and get the second on the 24th. :)

How are you feeling afterwards? I woke up this morning feeling like I was punched in the shoulder repeatedly, and I’m getting winded even more easily than before. My poor spouse hurts everywhere. We both agree, though, that this is still preferable to having full blown COVID. Been there, done that, got the shitty coffee mugs.
 
A day and a half out from the first shot, and I feel like I was hit by a truck. I also have a sore throat, which I didn’t have during either of my bouts of COVID. And my poor spouse has been fighting off a fever.

Still, this isn’t nearly as bad as having COVID was. I’m dreading the second shot. That one is really supposed to kick your ass.

Speaking of asses, it’s Moon Monday. Please be gentle, everyone, I’m sore all over right now.

So far I haven't had any issues, but we'll see after the second shot, I hear that's worse and has more symptoms.

I think the reason we feel so shitty is because we had COVID so recently, so our immune systems recognize the virus. If that’s the case, the second shot is really going to suck. But we have to do it to help reach herd immunity.

I’m glad you’re feeling well after your first dose. And I thank you for the compliment.
 
It’s Moon Monday already? It feels like I just ended my work week. May today be a day where I only have to work my eight hours. The OT last week kicked my ass. And speaking of asses...

It was a day. One of the guys I work with was let go, so we’re back to being short handed again. Yesterday was also the first anniversary of my first bout of COVID. I’m still recovering from it.

On to happier things. It’s the middle of the week, and here’s a hand down the undies pic.

It’s Full Frontal Friday once again, and I’m hoping for an easier day. As in, a day where I only work eight hours. The twelve hour shift I pulled yesterday wore me out. It didn’t wreck me, though, so that’s improvement!
