But since I know you happen to be a fan of a different kind of eye candy there is also her...

But ya know, aside from the eye candy... each movie had a compelling plot, well developed characters (Loki anyone?), and stunning action sequences. Both were just well done movies. Each had their own lil flaws, but they came together well.

o_O

Cheesey my ass, that was perfect. :D

I know.

And no Vail I won't compile your list for you. Because it would only be a futile effort. You've already made up your mind and are only scrapping for a fight now.
A fight I'm not gonna give you.
You can believe they are crap if you like, but just accept its not what I believe.

Thor is an awesome example of redemption and self-sacrifice. It takes a man with few redeeming qualities who has been cast from his fathers presence and ends with someone reunited with his family and his purpose.

Great stuff with SHIELD. Stellan Skarsgaard as the skeptic and Jane’s father figure.

Eye candy aside, and yes, Loki was reasonably cool, the Cap movie had absolutely no sense of pacing or even basic storytelling.
Thor was just a 2 hour cliche (again, except for Loki)

And Veroe I wasn't actually talking to you because, well, I know MisterJ can't resist a poke

No, no I can't...

Loki was my favorite part of Thor. The cliche story I'll grant you, one of it's flaws but with the type of genre you're working with... it's hard not to be honestly. At least they made it a fun romp. As for Cap, I loved the story... but I do agree on the pacing, again, minor flaw to an otherwise fun flick.

But to me, in a movie like Cap, any action movie really, pacing is key.
Its one of the (many) reasons Jackson's Kong was so bad.

(I will also grant that the SHIELD bits in Thor were cool...but again, I think that the basic plot was just TOO much of a joke)

(you also know not to take me particularly seriously)

At all. Yes, and I'm terribly good at it.

I think Thor would have been better without the love interest.. but I understand the necessity. They needed to give him a reason to come back to Earth and to do that whole... really quick wacky emotional turnaround of his.

Actually, those are the two most annoying things about the plot.
Personally, I think there should have been MUCH more Sif

YES! Thank you!

And the Warrior's Three.... honestly we needed more Asgard all together.

Oh, yeah, leave Midgard out of it and the movie would get MUCH better! Make it all about the sons of Odin (cause Loki seemed to turn evil pretty damn fast too...)
