As to why I would post something like this on the forum instead of the dedication thread...I'm not sure. I know that you haven't been here in awhile, but I also know you were here recently. It does get better, just like kitty said.

You may not get better in the sense of getting together with her again, but when your eyes lose the mist, they'll see clearer than before, and may even come to rest upon someone even more dazzling.

Besides, even if a chance to come back together happens, it could never feel the same. It's tainted by the memory of heartbreak. No going back.

Just speaking from my own personal experience, of course.

I understand the need to post. After all, I put up my own "I just got dumped" thread after losing what I thought would be the love of my life. Of course, he wouldn't have been here to read it, so it's a little different than your own experience. But sometimes you just need to decry the unfairness of it all. And it helped. Got a healthy dose of support from some good people.

And since I'm on quite the Moby kick these days, here are the lyrics to a song that instantly takes me back to that empty despair of lost love. Y'know... just to add to the mood.
