I had this dream last night that i had to get an anal dildo *is there a difference between anal and regular dildos??* anyway..i had to get an anal dildo surgically removed. I'm straight, i swear...anyone else have this dream...the doctor didn't even wear gloves. eww. Please tell me i'm not the only one..

Since I'm not a guy, I can't offer any firsthand assurances one way or the other, skitch, but it doesn't sound like anything to get freaked out about. First of all, it's just a dream. Hell, I had a dream once where I was a chainsaw wielding maniac chasing co-eds through the woods ala every bad horror movie you've ever seen. That doesn't make me a chainsaw murderer. It just means I need to lay off the pepperoni pizza before bedtime or something.

Secondly, there are lots of straight guys I know who aren't adverse to a little anal stimulation. This isn't a reflection on you at all. I'm just saying that if you have a dream or even fantasies about it, it doesn't automatically mean you're gay. I met a guy once who was all kinds of freaked out because he had sensitive nipples, and he kept insisting "I'm not gay." whenever it came up (so to speak). I still don't know what having sensitive nipples has to do with being gay. I'm still baffled by why that bugged him so badly.

Ah well, I love you guys, but I sure as hell don't understand you.

Okay, like Naudiz said, it was just a dream. I've had dreams were my head has been chopped in half, or I've been stabbed in the face multiple times or I've fallen to the ground of a building. When I woke up my head was fine and my back wasn't broken. All that remained from the dream was that I woke up a little freaked out. You don't need to get all Freudian and try to analyze your dream.

And don't worry about trying to assert your heterosexual status. Techinically speaking, it's only if you are sexually attracted to men that you're gay. Just having a dream about having something up your butt doesn't mean you're gay. It doesn't really mean anything.

Like the others have already said, it's just a dream so I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes dreams are just warped versions of things that you've seen, heard, or talked with someone about lately. And sometimes they just seem to come out of nowhere with the things they are about.

To make this short: Don't worry about any of it. Trust me, I've had dreams that have made me think twice about certain things, but they're just dreams. They don't always have to mean something.
