Think Happy

Number one would just have to be having my son. Okay well not the having him bit but, when he was handed to me and he looked me right in the eye. Oh Yes that would be Number one :)

The joy that he brings me is just something that I could take up the whole BB with but, I won't bore you all.

Number two would be finding the love of my life ;) This is a man that makes me so very happy, and although we have our fights and disagrements, we are usually very happy together.

He and my son are what makes my world turn. :) I love them both deeply.

What an absolutly Lovely thread :) Thank-you. It has already cheered me up and I hope my little contribution has helped you :)

Happiest moments? This will be a great thread to liven up a dull Friday as well as start the weekend on a positive note! Great idea!

One of my happiest moments:
Hearing the words "you passed" when I checked on my results after taking the CPA exam for the first time. Back in the dark ages you could call a phone number and they'd tell you if you passed or not on the same day they mailed the envelopes to everyone with the results. You didn't get the results until 3 months after having taken the exam, so there was lots of time to anticipate.

My happiest moment the first time I held my son. He was such a gift & I will never forget the first time the nurse put him in my arms. He was almost 2 days old before I held him, due to a few problems, but he was so beautiful & I cherish that memory.

Since we're on babies....

This morning our 7.5 month old "held and plucked," well kind of, with a bunch of help from me - his first guitar strings. Huge damn grin on his face. Can't wait to jam with him and his older brother's some day.

Happiest moment,

That would be...no-no that was rather sad. How about when... nah boring. I know , when I... no thats no good either.

I tried I just can't think of anything, but then again I am only 25 and the death clock says I got another 82 years left to live, so I am sure there is to be one or two happy moments to come in the years to visit me.

But listening and reading all your happy moments does give me that warm gooey feeling, so does that count as one?

It was very pleasent but with out a joint plane of comparison I am not entirely sure what 'happy' is, but I do count meeting you as one of the highest peaks thus far.

Hearing from my boss about 2 hrs ago... "I doubled your bonus for today's pay." hehe! Let's party!

Great! I've got the really gorgeous male stripper who is well-endowed and disease free.

Oh, btw.. congrats on your job!!

I would say the day my daughter was born but after 48 hours of complete pain and no drugs before they were like hey lets do a c section is not my idea of fun. Ill be honest after that mess i didnt even want to see my daughter I wanted to sleep and so I did. So it was the day after my daughter was born when I held her for the first time and she looked at me with those big blue eyes and then proceeded to spitup on me.

Hey , someone pass me a glass!

Congratulations, Canadian Lady! Hunny, I don't know, but that just looks like it hurts I'd have took the drugs!!!!

They didnt offer me drugs I was only a half centimeter dialated when they broke my water 6 hrs before my csection. By the time they decided to do the c section i was a whopping 1 cm dialated!!

Now, now, it isn't all that bad. I had all natural childbirth, no drugs at all & was up walking around a few hours after my son was born.Of course, they broke my water, told me it would be a few hours & my son was born 15 minutes later. My doctor was on his way home for dinner with his family when they paged him back. I was very lucky in that I had a fairly easy pregnancy with very little morning sickness. Everyone's case is different, although I do not understand these doctors letting a woman stay in labor for hours & hours. One of my best friends was in labor way too long, her doctor had gotten called out of town & the on call doctor didn't want to do a C-section. She & her doctor had thought she would need a C-section, her husband finally convinced the on call doctor to do a C. She & baby are fine, but 48 hours is too long for anyone to be in labor. Once you have the baby in your arms, everything else is unimportant.

Well at least now my OB/GYN knows that i cant have natural childbirth. After my ordeal with the baby they took an Xray of my pelvis and found a small fracture. Why? because my pelvis is apparantly way too small for even a baby's head to get through. Im 5'2" with a very fine bone structure. for example watches? only if its made for kids otherwise its too large. Actually with those new link watches being in i finally got my first watch made for adults for my last birthday they only had to remove 4 links for it to fit. my ring size is a 4 1/2 or a 5 depending on the ring. Hell my thumb ring is a size 7. I know women who thats their regular ring size.

NH, I totally sympathize with you about the size thing. I have small fingers too, and it's very hard to find a ring that will fit. Consequently, I don't wear jewelry very often. I have this Timex watch that I bought over 5 years ago. A youth watch they call it. Too bad Timex discontinued it. I would love to have another one, as this one's face is getting scratched.

Ohhhh my the mental images...

You know what they say about women with small fingers and hands....hee hee hee

What, pray tell, might that be you masher?
If it's what I think it is, you better believe it!

I know how that goes, NH. I am 5'2" & 100 lbs. At 41, I still wear a size 5 in juniors & until last year, I wore a 3. My ring size is a 6, but only because I have arthritis in my hands & my fingers swell a lot. I love link bracelet watches, my last one had to have 6 links taken out. At least it is easier to be little now. When I was in HS, there were no junior shops. It took weeks to find a prom dress & then my mom still had to take in. The other good thing about being little & looking young is that a lot of the media people didn't realise who I was last year & left me alone, thinking I was one of the teenagers. I had time & privacy to make arrangements. It is good that the doctor found that out about your pelvis, better to know now than to find out the hard way at a later date. I think the reason I was able to have natural childbirth is my son was very small when he was born & I had worked out all through my pregnancy to help me kick a substance abuse habit. The thing to remember is you have your daughter now & I know she is worth everything you went through to have her.
