that you don't tell many of your R/L friends about?

Writing here is one of mine, another is I LOVE the band POISON.
My best friend knows and we go see them every year that they come to our area, but most people look at me like I'm some sort of flake.

Just curious about what others 'hide'.

I like posion too :)

I love little baby ducks, old pickup trucks
Slow-movin' trains and rain
I love little country streams, sleep without dreams
Sunday school in May and hay
And I love you, too

I love leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends
Birds of the world and squirrels
I love coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups
Bourbon in a glass and grass
And I love you, too

I love honest, open smiles, kisses from a child
Tomatoes on the vine and onions
I love winners when they cry, losers when they try
Music when it's good and life
And I love you, too

And Tom T. Hall is ok in my book.

Poison? Didn't they do "Once Bitten Twice Shy," or am I thinking of Whitesnake?

Geez, I think I still have a Poison album on vinyl. They were almost as good as Winger.

Things I like, I have a weakness for old Stan Freberg and Alan Sherman records.

A few : Early Bill Cosby comedy, beer, Donavon's Reef, Mary Ann (never Ginger), re-reading a favorite book.

You're thinking of Great White ("Once Bitten, Twice Shy"). They're the same band whose pyrotechnics set that nightclub on fire in Rhode Island.

Poison almost as good as winger? Pshah! Actually, arguing which is better than which is like arguing which is more black, the pot or the kettle.

I love professional wrestling, and I began to enjoy it more when I found out it was choreographed. :D

Are you fucking kidding me?

Go and read Hello magazine.

CV !!!! Behave. Nikki is a relative newcomer to AH, save your twisted and incomprehensible posts until she knows just how wierdly charming you can be. ;)

Try and be nice to at least one person each day. You never know, you might actually enjoy it.

But warn us, hmmmmm, otherwise the shock could kill a few of us.

:rose:

My apparently incomprehensible liking for old rock, and the occasional burst of Heavy Metal......very loud.......is known to most of my friends......and fed by my sons.

I am considered strange, probably because its unusual for a 55-year old, silver-haired, short, overweight, somewhat dumpy woman. (think 'weeble' and you won't be far wrong ;) )

I love the sight on people's faces when they realise the music they can hear from a passing car.............is mine !!! Yayyyyy.

AC/DC.............adore them.
Listening to one of my two new additions given me for Christmas......Nightwish. Think 'heavy metal', combined with 'opera', 'folk', and 'native chanting'. Incredible combination.

What isn't known? To all but a very very small chosen few, that I write on here, the genre I write in, and the fact that I'm a lesbian.

And nor will they.

Model railroads.

I've got one on my porch now, standard HO, The GOMtA: Gleetz, Onarca & Mt. Arkham RR.

As I built it I assembled a town and composed an entire history and mythology about it: how it was a railroad hub bypassed by the interstate and fallen into rust-belt status whose current claim to fame is as a UFO-spotting center. Dr. Mabeuse lives there, along with a whole host of characters (the seductive Elaine Money, the wealthy, inbred Gleetz family, the mysterious superhero known as "The Anti-Liberace", Trent Chcoat, private eye, many many others.)

Some day I'm going to write up its history and call it "Annals of Gleetz". It's all very sordid and sexy.

I have been Collecting HO scale slot cars since I was about 5 yrs old. I have some that were made in the 50's and have been known to build some wild custom cars.

My older brother is the train collector. At one time we had a huge layout in the basement incorperating both trains and slotcars complete with working RR crossings. Imagine racing semi trucks and trying to beat trains at the crossings. :D

Can't say what. Not in public, anyway. :p

I just want to thank the ones that have posted up 'til this point and the ones that may post in the future.

As newcomer I have actually learned quite a bit about people and I find that in itself is fasinating.

Thanks again. AH rocks in my book:D
