The food usually sucks. And they only have like fifteen cable channels, usually Home Shopping Network and junk like that. One channel of HBO, if you're lucky.

The cells are pretty crowded, and drafty too. The beds are hard, and there's not much privacy, especially in solitary, where they watch you 24/7. When they do let you out, it's usully for short periods, and they watch you all the time.

They take away all your drugs, and you don't get much sex, unless you're into homosexual rape, which isn't my cup of tea, I found out. Plus I've found that the other fellows in prison are just plain mean, well, most of them anyway.

Oh yeah, whenever they play music it's usually country. I fucking hate that.

If you are a very good boy, perhaps there would be time served for good behavior?

:D

Well, I don't plan on going there but I would have to say that the one thing I hate about prison is just about everything.

And you can't have a good shower because you're always worried your gonna drop the soap

I work in Law Enforcement. I know where I DON'T want to stay the night.

Things you don't like in a prison...

...and the answer is "ME"! ~laughing~ I would not like ME in a prison!

You forgot to mention the gangs of sadistic right wing facist guards who jack off to Sylvester Stallone movies. Several folks in Oregon have died in custody. One inmate "commited suicide" while paralized from the waist down under 24 hour a day lockdown.

Especially with the curlers, you just wouldn't last

The decor. It's kinda bland you know. Makes one feel a little closed in.
But I like all the cameras. Brings out the exhibitionist in me. :D

Look at the bright side!

You guys are so negative. In prison, you get three square meals a day. You lift weights, watch cable TV, and hang out in the recreation room. You can make a lot of friends and learn advanced criminal techniques.

You can study trades like carpentry and metalworking. You can even earn 40 or so cents per hour of employment. You can also take educational classes. If you're strong, you can acquire prison bitches and trade them for things you want.

There's a segment of the female population that will love you because you're in prison. You can marry one of the cute ones and get conjugal visits. You get free access to law libraries so you can figure out technicalities to get out of jail. Plus, you can have 15 years of legal appeals if you want them, all with attorneys present.

All well and good as long as you dont get your
salad tossed

You have to be strong. Lift lots of weights. Make appropriate blood oaths with a top-notch prison gang. Find some weaklings to be your bitches and trade them out for cash, cigarettes, drugs and other necessities.

And just how do you know so much about all this eh>

:p

I only watched Chained Heat (1 through 30) as research for some articles on the criminal justice system.

Other than murderers, rapists, and child abusers, I never understood prisons. What good is it to put Joe or Jane Average in prison for minor offenses? There is NO rehabilitation in prison! Once you're in the system, you're in for life. After your out, you are harassed by the cops, and if you get a job, the cops let the employer know, and whatever the crime, you're fired. I have a friend who is going through this, he's walking the straight and narrow. The law has interfered with every attempt he has made trying to get a job. He now works "under the table" to provide for his family....again, breaking the "law". If he's found out, it's a parole violation and back into the machine.
I think if you're convicted under a minor offense, you can be monitored at home, work, pay taxes, and pay back your "debt" to society. We would save tons of money doing this, but the law enforcement/judicial/corrections complex would lose revenue...tsk..tsk!
