I have learned that life can make me "giddy" just when I least expect it, and that "smoochy kisses" can be the best kind at times.

when i figured everything was going to be very bleak for a very long time..***** threw me the BEST curve! and the giddyiness was right there!

and do ya know what else?
i thought i couldn't ask god to help me with a decision i made because i thought it was not what god would want for me
and then after i made the decision anyway...i started receiving so many signs and confirmations and reassurances that i was in fact following the best path that god wanted for me...

see...organized religion can feed us with so much crap that we lose sight of the fact that god never ever wants us to be a victim...that isn't what we're called to have - we're called to have LIFE!

so that was something major i learned recently...don't assume you know what god wants for you...you're probably wrong!
your heart and not your religion is the best guide!

and you're so right about the sexual orientation being relevant to the person...i wasn't thinking of that...only that it should be irrelevant to the rest of the world...

but i question the wisdom of allowing a casual observer with a big mouth the power to hurt us...

and the folks who protest too much about something (be it sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, race, or any other difference,) are the folks who have the problem...

in other words...live and let live!

certainly something i have learned along the way.

You know the older i get the more i see the world in shades of gray - not black and white as i did when i was younger.

Sounds like a contradiction in terms doesn't it? But it works for me.

That is another thing that I have learned. What works for me won't necessarily work for others and visa versa. Better to be tolerate of all, you don't know who or what you might miss otherwise.
