They're baaaaaack . . .

AFAIK, Hardy Boys are still copyright-protected. But is nothing sacred?

Now if only someone will advance the Hardy boys to a gay brother and a rake brother. :D

I remember Frank and Joe Hardy and their father, Fenton, quite well. I read as many of their books as I could get hold of in the early fifties, when I was in my early teens. I doubt they would still be copyrighted after that long.

The stories only retained the same title. Every so many years they were ghost re-written. I think because of that the copyright is still intact.

eta. I just checked Amazon. There are titles newly published in the last five years. They're still copyrighted.

We missed all that in the UK. Thank goodness

But we have had re-writes of Enid Blyton's Famous Five (including the dog), the Swallows and Amazons (including Titty) etc.

Some of the re-writes were follow ons to the originals, some were raunchy versions in which the dog and Titty feature prominently...
