It's a .223 semi-automatic Bushmaster rifle/carbine, with a scope, and a tripod found in the car. There is a report that the car had been altered with a firing port in the back.
We'll know in 24 hours, if they're not the team, someone's gonna shoot somebody to prove it. A risky roll of the dice unless they're sure the case is closed with the evidence.

You know, you can make fun of Hans all you want. But I'm afraid that he's absolutely right.
The fact that two individuals can cause as much wide spread panic at such a cost to the taxpayer will not go un-noticed.
It's cheap, it's effective, and there is virtually no defense. It will work in any metropolitan area or along the Interstate system. (Won't work in small towns though.)
So laugh all you want. We HAVE not seen the end of this, not by a long shot.

First of all, Mohammad is NOT the name of God in Islam. Muhammad is the prophet who received the word of God through the intermediary of the archangel Gabriel. Muhammad, in Arabic, means "worthy praise" and IS NOT a name for God.
Michael is not equivalent to Muhammad in Arabic. Michael is an archangel who is mentioned in the Bible and also is considered an important angel in Islam (he, with the archangel Gabriel, helped to cleanse the Prophet Muhammad before his night journey from Mecca to Jeruslaem). "Michael," in Hebrew means "one who is like God."

We've had serial killers before. And costly ones that needed large multi-state investigation to apprehend them. And we'll have more and more.
Much as I expect we are also getting more and more likely to have Islamic fundamentalist terrorist attacks of various sorts from what I have heard so far this guy and his stepson were in this alone.
Which at this time makes him just another loony in my book. Right along with Bundy and Rollins even if driven by different demons in his mind.
