According to an article I read, kiddies make almost all the decisions about what is appropraite on-line content. And theyve been deleting posts and terminating people based on a rudimentary grasp of what really is and isnt appropriate speech.
The article indicated that the poster's popularity is often the determinant of what stays and what goes. Political correctness carries a lot of weight with the kiddie censors, too. And the kids tend to lump illegal acts and reports about illegal acts together, as if they are the same thing.
When the online censors are outside the USA, they delete posts critical of whatever nation or ethnic group they belong to. And they bring their cultural practices to the job. American censors are okay with topics that offend Indians, or vice versa. So the reactions can be very different, depending on who reviews your post.
