They came, They went

I think I vaguely knew that. There might have been a magazine, too, with a similar title.
I always think of David Bowie's Sound and Vision

Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?
Blue, blue, electric blue
That's the colour of my room
Where I will live
Blue, blue
Pale blinds drawn all day
Nothing to do, nothing to say
Blue, blue
I will sit right down
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
And I will sing
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
Drifting into my solitude
Over my head
Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?

I've never been to Australia and now that I can't fly, I'll never get there, but I've had a lot of fun with Australians. When I was a young Airman in the USAF I made the mistake of hooking up with a bunch from the RAAF and we tried to drink Spain dry. That was my first foray into the military justice system. When I got assigned to the Strategic Air Command, we would occasionally send a B-52 to Australia for...? I guess because It's There. The planes came back with kangaroos stenciled all over them. When I retired the officer I reported to for two years was an exchange officer from the RAAF. He didn't have a security clearance so I couldn't tell him what I was doing for those 730 days.
The most fun however was learning Australian slang. On a Forum for the TV show Farscape there were a lot of Aussies who were amused at my nom de plume - Bonzer Root.

There are always ships. (Just kidding, it's a long trip, but once that was the only way.)

Just curious, since you mentioned the Air Force, why can't you fly now? It must be a health reason, but I've never heard of one.

I wonder why Electric Blue is used so often, but not green, orange, or red? It must be something blindingly obvious that I missed.

I don't think you could get away with a song now that takes about a minute and a half for the lyrics to start. I know, now someone is going to give me an example to prove me wrong. Anyway, it's not like Traffic's "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys," which has nearly twelve minutes of instrumentals alternating with lyrics.

along with numerous crushed vertebrae and hips I have a condition called Cronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension, high blood pressure inside my lungs and heart due to pulmonary edema aka blood clots in the lungs. It's a weird feeling, I'm not constricted, I can take deep breaths, but due to the high blood pressure inside my lungs and heart I'm not getting the oxygen I need. I feel like I just sprinted 3 KM just by climbing one flight of stairs. This is a SUPER RARE condition, maybe 1 person in a million may get it.

Lucky me. :(

I don't have high blood pressure outside of the lungs, it's normally 95/55. I tell nurses who freak out "I don't have high blood pressure, I'm a carrier, I give it to other people."

As for travel If I go over 1000 feet, 305 meters in altitude I need to be on oxygen, that's why I moved from Denver to Florida. An airplane is pressurized to 8500 feet. 2600 meters, so I have to be on oxygen. Here's where the math comes in, To travel to Sydney from Atlanta GA it takes 21 hours, when my portable oxygen machine is working properly, I can get 3 hours of oxygen at 2.5 liters per minute per battery. but just to get on the airplane I need to have 150% of the expected battery time on hand. so 150% of 21 hours becomes 31.5 hours / 3 hours per battery = 10.5 so I will need at least 11 batteries at $300 per battery = $3,300 which is hard to swing on a fixed income

That you for your honest answer. Most of us get our share of problems at some point - I'm 67. I've have high blood pressure (the usual kind), atrial fibrillation, and finally a stroke that wasn't too bad but it did affect my mobility to some degree. I've also had a six-hour heart surgery (in 2017; repair of the aortic arch), probably the closes call I've ever had.

Like I tell my kids - "Take care of yourself, when you hit 55 the "Check Engine" light comes on."

My grandfather said something like that too. When he was about seventy (I was about twenty-three), he said something like, "You'll be surprised at how fast time goes by." I didn't scoff at this face, but it didn't register with me.

…..sometimes it feels like walking thru a cemetery when I do a deep dive into Literotica’s libraries. I pause at the headstones that look interesting or the names that catch my eye. Yeah. This is porn site. I get it.
Would you say more than 65%, 75% of the content in the author profiles are BS? 90%? I read that some authors have more than one profile for various reasons. Now that masks are no longer required, long workdays & stressful commutes are my life. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to share a story. It is the bio which mentions health or mental health issues combined with a most recent story 2016 or older that makes me wonder…..
Aiyahhh, I created my bio in 2015, when I signed up on Literotica and started writing here and that's 7 years ago. Haven't updated my bio since, but the general info about me is correct, as far as it goes. The age thing is a bit out of date now LOL. For obvious reasons, I use a pen-name, altho my first name actually is Chloe. Tzang is a transliteration of my mom's family name, which can be transliterated into English in a gazillion different ways, so I picked one that wasn't that common. I don't do any real details on me online, I get too many interesting emails and messages as it is, and all it takes is one real weirdo.... so I stay relatively anonymous, deliberately. I keep my Literotica / Facebook persona completely seperate from the real me, and the only person in real life who knows I write on Literotica and have stuff published is my husband.

Hmm... I haven't used my real name or facts about me since I first stated using a computer way back in the 1980s. When personal computers came along I really didn't use any real info about myself at all. Seeing as how Bill Gates couldn't code a secure operating system to save his life I saw all the holes and how others used them to get peoples information. No, Zeb Carter is not my real name. I have a laptop that only connects to the internet once a month and when I need to check online things in my real life. Otherwise it sits there doing nothing or its use is as a DVD player. And when I do connect to the internet I use a VPN, sometimes 2, with a proxy server.

Now my Author bio has real info about me in it. But just a generic blurb. Now I will give out my IP address but it really doesn't mean anything as it's just an internal private network IP to my machine given out by my Network Router.
