Mom lives for Costco. If they went out of business I think she'd have a nervous breakdown. Whenever I visit I gnosh on the chips till:

A. She bitches about it until I crack.

I love Costco but they stopped carrying the 8lb bags of Mike & Ike's. That makes me sad. I did pick up 2 cases of Charleston Chews the last time I was in there though.

It's much better than Sam's, for all the reasons DT mentioned. Plus, and this may absolutely not matter to you, but Costco treats its employees much better... healthcare... retirement plans. The Wal-mart model is more "rape and pillage."
