Remember that song from the 60s?

Well here are a few of my faves (besides sex):

Sitting in a hot tub or a hot spring, in the middle of the woods, on a fairly cool day, or even on a really cold day with snow all around. Sitting in a hot tub/spring in the woods at night if I can see the stars, snacking on cheese and crackers is good too. doing this with a few friends and talking about life is sometimes good.

Riding my motorcycle very fast through the twisties - especially when I am dialed in and there are some hills and small bumps. Kind of like a roller coaster ride you control.

Being outdoors in the woods on a nice sunny day, in an area where I can see down into meadows and valleys. A wide slow running river running through, or a very blue lake perfects the vision.

Watching children play and have fun, especially on the beach.

Of course, there are indoor pursuits, such as reading a good book in front of a fire.

The silence of the house at 4am.
Hearing Draco's voice saying "I love you."
Surprises mailed to me from NZ.
Hugs and kisses from my kids.
Petting a purring cat while watching TV.
The smell of a library.
Being read to.
A hot bath in a candle lit tub.
The sound of my kids laughing.
Watching my kids sleep.

Must agree - hot tubs in the snow - but add a beer and I'm a happy Cat.

Vanilla ice cream

Don't get me going on food:

French Vanilla ice cream and:

a) Raspberries.
b) any kind of berry cobbler or pie
c) Flame Room cake

Egg nog.
Chips and dip.
Thai and Chinese food, especially meat and Chinese Hot Mustard.
Roast beef and stew.

Just to name a few (as I work on my potatoes and gravy).

Yeah, I like a little potatoes with my gravy

This was the first batch I tried with gluten free flour (actually pancake and baking mix) and Soy milk. Wasn't too bad after I added some salt to it, but not as good as most other gravy. I made it with the broth left from the Crock Pot after cooking some potatoes, beef and carrots. I wonder if it was the broth? That often doesn't work out for me; has a funny taste to it I think.

These are a few of my favorite things:

Sitting with a cup of tea while my kitty is on my lap making her hypnotic happy sounds.

Having the scent of fresh cut oranges floating through my house.

The aroma of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies as well as sugar cookies. This reminds me of being home with my family at Christmas. The memories linger on with that particular scent.

Feeling the warmth rush over me as I realize the eyes I'm looking into are truly looking right back at me and can see right through me.

Noticing the first buds on the trees when winter is finally coming to a halt.

Savoring a book so much that I try to put off finishing it. I'm always sad when the end comes when I'm reading such a wonderful book.

Tasting something for the very first time and realizing that it is amazing just as other predicted.

Feeling so content that I can fall asleep within minutes while in the arms of a lover.

Being able to help a friend with a problem, even if it's just listening to them.

1. The greeting I get from my dog when I come home.

2. The rush of the wind while I'm sailing (all the better if someone else is steering and you can just close your eyes and completely relax) Can't be too strong of a wind though, because that can be a lot of work and scary. (sitting on the high side of a boat can also be painful)

3. Laying on the grass in the shade at the Yacht Club listening to the clips on the halyards clank on the masts of the boats.
