Do you stoop to pick it up or do you leave it there?? What if it was a nickel; a dime; a quarter? As for me, I pick 'em up, although I've seen younger folks just pass on by. Perhaps it's a generational thing.

I might have skipped a penny or two, but I usually pick any coin up! (It's been surprising what unemployment can do for you too!):D Usually I wind up with enough change for the laundry machines too!

I stop and pick them up, out of habit mostly, I'm always dropping change, I usually don't keep it tho, I put it in the "take a penny leave a penny" bin or if I do keep it, it goes in my piggy bank

This depends...

Is it a penny on the ground that is lost...... or

is it a penny that is lost, on the ground!

Most of the time I just, as the song goes, walk on by.... bop bop-bop bop-bop bop .

But I have been known to pick them up too.

depends

If I'm not walking about 600 miles a minute to get to where I need to be (like always) then yes I'll pick it up... :D

I'm the quicker picker upper!

I also have been know to toss pennies on the ground for some other person who might be needing a bit of luck that day.

I had heard that you're fast, Jailbait, but I never believed it... until now, that is!

;)

If I see a penny, I definitely pick it up. I'm kind of superstitious and a found penny brings luck (or at least that's what my grandmother told me :)). Coincidence or not but the day I found a penny in the parking lot, I was offered a job and aced a hardware lab.

I always pick them up...can't help it. It's like an obsession. Once in business school i was behind a guy at the coke machine and he dropped his quarter. He just waved at it like it was nothing and pulled out another. As soon as he walked away, I picked it up and turned to the girl behind me and said "He's in the wrong school"

A penny saved is a penny earned....I always pick it up.........

I always pick it up and say the little saying too: Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck. And yes, I say it out loud. :)

I don't pick them up. There is just way too many lost pennies down there. Who knows where they've been?

Besides, if I bend down to pick up that penny I use energy. Energy that I normally wouldn't have used. To re-gain that energy I have to eat a candy bar or something (Maybe a fry).

Is it really worth it??

:D

(I told you I was lazy!)

OMG!!!!!.......... That AV is awesome............

Hello all !!!!!!

As the son of an accountant, as well as have been one myself in years past...............

If I see a lost coin, it ain't going to be lost for long!

I remember a time when I was in college, driving a cab to make ends meet, and a passenger dropped a C-note in my cab by accident. I had the dispatcher get me her phone number......... I called her the net day and told her that I had found her money, to which she replied........... "Keep it, Obviously I didn't miss it when I lost it, and I don't miss it now".

You betcha!!!!!!!!! It will no longer be lost the second I see it.......... no matter what the denomination.........

I always have change on me
so I don't usuealy pick up coins unless it's a loonie or a twonie

i always pick it up - tradition has it that if it is heads up then it's lucky for you if you pick it up - if it's tails up then you should pick it up but pass it on to someone else for good luck ~

:rose:

My children and I always pick them up then we say

"Penny penny , bring me luck, cause I'm the one who picked you up" :D
