I have been around since 2008, and have read and commented on many stories

The following story was published in May 2011. I just came across it again by accident and after reading it, I found that I had given it a 5 the first time I read it. It is fairly well written, but not a knock out of the park.

https://www.literotica.com/s/hubby-wanted-to-see-my-inner-slut. It has a score of 4.56, 39 comments, and has been saved as a favorite by 374.

It is a standard plot you will see several times a week in the LW genre. Husband and wife have a great sex life, no fetish crap, humiliation, no abuse, just a couple in love. But he really wants to see her, or share her with another man. They role play both in the bedroom and in public, and one night she pulls the trigger. He does the cleanup like a good cuck husband, and when it is over and they go home, they fall into each others arms, more in love with each other than they ever have been before.

That identical story, with the current trolls and other denizens of the LW neighborhood, if published today, would be lucky to have a score of 3.

The story sounds exactly like my experience

Agreed, it would. However, looking at the comments which are dated by year, about 20% of them are directly negative, mostly anonymous, crowing about giving the story one star.

IMO? If each of them was an IRL person, the story -would- have a rating under 4. There *may* be a proliferation of misogynists, but I bet it's really just a handful of people, perhaps even just one or two, with a drawer full of sock puppets accounts that they've built up over years using a couple of different browsers. Sad indeed for new authors and for people trying to get to the well written stories they would enjoy.

(Tedious numbers: 505900 views, old story, so avarage 1/200 will be rated views. That's 2529 votes. Average of 80% of voters pooled results gives a rating of 4.7, 20% pull the average down by dropping a one, (506+2023*4.7)/2529=3.96)

You must have very big hands. There are simply too many comments to lay at the feet of a ‘handful’ of people.

In terms of numbers I just demonstrated that if the referenced story had the same proportion of negative votes as it did negative comments the rating would be 3.96.
The vast majority of those negative comments are pre 2008.
The only thing that's proliferated since then is cheap VPNs and sock puppets. As a woman I experience LESS misogyny in my day to day than I did ten years ago. There are FEWER of these bozos now than there were then.

It is terribly written. I think 3 is a very generous sore.

I would be very cautious about associating a story’s score with a number generated from a numerical analysis of comments. I’m glad you personally are experiencing less misogyny than ten years ago but I would argue misogyny, like racism, sexism as a whole and xenophobia is actually ascendant in our society and there are more of these bozos now, bozos who proliferate in hate groups on the internet and the dark web.

She went twelve years before she published another story earlier this year, in the same basic genre, a hotwife/opening the marriage type story. It is sitting at 4.19, which is not a bad score considering the genre.

Loving Wives stories posted in the last 30 days with the red H: 7 (In the last 12 months there are 103)

That’s not a lot, but at least it’s not zero.

I think my third LW story will be ready to go in the next month. Like my others, it’s the opposite of a revenge/BTB tale so it will be interesting to see how it’s received.

Agreed. One Obsessed person with poor technical skills could quite easily look like (roughly) 10.

But one obsessed person with (I do hate to associate trolls with something positive) advanced technical skills, including the willingness to incorporate illegal hacking methods and hacked computers (not positive), could easily look like hundreds and thousands. (Personally, the quantity of “people” using the term “cuck shit” seems mighty suspicious.)

Sadly in a world of followers, it’s also the case that other solo people follow suit, thinking they are part of a movement. So, it’s definitely not the case that ALL comments and bombs come from bots, but many do.

Also unfortunately, you’ll run into people who don’t accept this theory. (I stopped bothering to bring it up a few years back.)

A lot of those red H's are BTB stories. Cuckolding, sharing, hotwifing, swinging and the like rarely achieve that status

Loving Wives is so frustrating. Littered with BTB and RAAC stories that generally involve no sex. They should be in the non-erotic category but that would make it easier for trolls the crap on everything. You can't go by ratings sadly and few authors properly tag their stories to make it easier to find what you want to read.
