I'm not really into the subject of serial killers. It's interesting to me, though, that this one dude who has killed maybe 100 women, most of them in the 1970s through the 1990s, is 'fessing up now and that no one would have had any idea he had killed anyone if not for DNA evidence. He was linked to a couple of late 1980s murders while he was in custody for something else entirely a few years back in California, and he just started talking.
I can't even remember that guy's name. Short, perhaps?
Anyway, as I said, I'm not much for remembering the names of serial killers. Ted Bundy I've got down cold, and Albert de Salvo was the Boston Strangler, I'm pretty sure.
Both are worthy of theme songs, if someone out there cares to come up with one.
Me, I've got the perfect theme song for that forgotten slaughtering slasher, one of the first madmen with a machete, Juan Corona.
Corona gained his notoriety for killing at least two dozen seasonal workers in California in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
I'm still working on the lyrics, but I'm sure you'll recognize the beat the the Knack's big hit.

Hack a migrant worker up, worker up,
Hack a migrant worker up, Juan Corona

OK, so maybe it's not such a great thread idea after all.

Dr Harold Shipman - ''Grand ma - with st winifreds school choir'' awesome.:rose:

Hack a migrant worker up, worker up,

my sherona is the tune, a bit energetic for a campaign.

DNA gets ya every time. Hazmat suits and dig deep. People panic and get in a rush and that's where the problems start.
Stay cool, take as much time as you can without being stupid about it and never, ever under any circumstances whack someone you know even in passing.
A hair or skin under a fingernail and a shallow grave will fuck ya hard.
Don't try burning either, you can't do it.
Some say pigs but you can't be sure they'll get it all or that it will all fully digest plus unless they're your own pigs it involves a third party who can and will snitch when the heat comes down.
There's a reason I'm still free.

I have had some frightening encounters in life. I am not sure if the lyrics match up but
don't fear the reaper seemed to play in my head as I suspected my end was near.

Letting go of fear, accepting my fate!

Obviously I survived.

Messer BigTopBedlam is (not so) proud to present,
The Ballad of Old Ed Gein
(to the tune of Monty Python's Philosopher's Song)

Ohhhhhh,
Old Ed Gein he liked 'em lean,
The girls he got to gutting.
Oh brother, oh brother he sure loved his mother,
That's why he went out cutting.
She said 'They're nothing but sin, these modern women.'
'You're better off without 'em.'
And when she died he broke down and cried,
'I need to get inside them!'

:D

How about "Psycho Killer," by the Talking Heads?

"We are vain and we are blind
I hate people when they're not polite"

Solid advice.

I would add that it is a good idea to avoid killing people who obviously don't deserve it or that anyone would miss.
