The Zansilbar.

He stood quite still as she touched him and then went rigid for the moment when her arm went around his waist. He swallowed slightly and then turned his head toward the door.

"Compensate? I don't need your money. I don't want your money."

He licked his lips and then slid out of her grasp and walked toward the door.

He turned his head back toward her and called out to her.

"Your free, get out of this blasted place." He had reached the door of the tavern but hadn't opened it just yet.

Anishima was visibly surprised by his reaction.

Hadn't he just been putting the moves on me? she thought, ...or is this one of those cross-culture things? Did my touch offend him?

She definitely intended to get out of here...however, she needed different cloths if she was going to be seen in public...and she had no credits on her. She had them in numerous accounts (hopefully still there), but none on her, and no credit card either. Nor could she get to any of her safe houses without transport.

Walking towards him, she paused at the door, giving him a smile as he opened it for her and continuing through.

Once they were outside, "Since you are apparently my good... oh what's the term in you language? Good Samalite? Would you be so kind as to give me a lift? I'm Anishima by the way."

He turned and looked at her. His eyes roaming up and down her scantily clad body for a brief moment.

"A ride? You want a ride? Where do you want a ride to hmm?"

He stared at her. His tone had no definite emotion to it. No anger, no disgust, no happiness.

He made no indication to tell her his name, not yet anyway. He had no idea if he could trust this foreign alien to him. Continuing on his way, he never stopped walking even when she did he continued to walk a bit slower then normal perhaps but knowing fully well he needed to get out of sight. He did however finally stop. He stood right in front of her.

"So, let me see. Your not a slave. You don't want to be owned. But you follow me around? I understand you require help but what is it your looking for? A way back home? I am not a taxi service. I do have many places to be and there are many people who need to die. I...cannot be your taxi service and I will not be. I am a slaver, I am an assassin. I am many things. But a taxi service is not one of them."

he snickers quietly his eyes on her body once again looking her over up and down and then resting upon her face.

"Keep following you around?" she crossed her arm in front of her chest, "I've been out of that blasted cage for not even two minutes. And two, you seemed quite friendly and flirty while I was caged. I don't know what your species is, much less your culture, but in my culture, you were showing off to get my interest. You succeeded. If this is a cultural mix-up and your sudden testiness is a result, I apologize, and will be on my way," she replied coolly, her eyes locked with his.

"Still, I am in your debt. If you should by chance need help in a hit with a bounty, ask for me at Slazlar's. If you don't feel like giving your name, just tell them its That Blue Guy, they'll get in touch with me if I'm not there."

Slazlar's was a well known bounty hunter hang out, he'd have no trouble finding it if he didn't know where it was.

"In the mean time, I'll try and find a cab with the zero credits I have on me, to get home and then hunt that bitch down."

She gave him a polite nod and then turned to leave him. If he wasn't going to help and was going to be a jerk instead, there was no point in sticking around.

He chuckles softly and shook his head.

"I see giving up already hmm? Perhaps you are being tested. Testing your resolve to see things through, I don't believe in chance or concidence. There is only destiny."

He walked up behind and put a strong hand on her shoulder. Suprisingly strong for his thin build.

"Have you ever heard of The Zaltac?"

Centuries of tales have been told about the Zaltac. A once great civilization of bounty hunters, assassins, and scouts. The Empire collapsed a milenia(sp?) ago, due to an over extension of war and local uprising against the seat of government. The Zaltac left known space and scattered back on the outer rim and were never seen again. Until Kallik.

He tilted his head looking at her.

She stopped as he spoke, looking back over her shoulder.

"Tested?" she arched the eye closest to him.

She felt the strength in his hand on her slender shoulder, very strong for his build.

Zaltac? This guy's claiming to be Zaltac. They were supposed to have left known space long ago. Then again, there's oddballs in every bunch.

Turning towards him, her eyebrow arched higher, "Your claiming to be one of them? The ones who left known space and hid ever since. How do I know you didn't simply have a clone made from a DNA scrap and get a brain transplant?"

Her arms were crossed as she studied his face closely. She wasn't calling him a lair, afterall, she had already conceded that there were odd ones in every species, but she was very skeptical.

"Even if you are one, what's this testing and destiny business?" she asked, that afterall, was the far more important issue.

His hand rests on her shoulder holding her in place.

"Our meeting was not by chance. Everything happens for a reason. Our meeting is by Destiny. You were destined to be freed by me. You were destined."

He shakes his head.

"My lineage is not of your concern. I am telling the truth as far as I am concerned and that is all that matters. There is no real way for me to prove it other then to take you to my ancestral homeland. Which, is far out of the way of anywhere my destiny will take me. That isn't my destiny, my people. Its not. I am uncertain what it is. But, I do know you are part of it. In one way or another, you are part of it."

He speaks softly, almost a whisper for the moment. He releases her shoulder and turns.

"I must get off the streets. They will be looking for me soon. My ship awaits my presence." He says theses words again quietly.

He looks her up and down again possibly admiring her scantily clad body or perhaps assessing her combative skills.

As far as she could tell, he believed what he spoke, and she liked to believe she was fairly good at spotting lies.

She gave a shrug, "At this point in time, your lineage I don't think really matters to me. Should as you say, our destinies be entwined, it may matter more when they do entwine."

"I don't think you really need to worry about more than a token investigation, if they're even informed. People have 'accidents' all the time in that bar, and no one talks," she whispered softly.

Striking that expectant pose that only a woman could, her hands on her hips, her head tilted slightly with a lopsided smirk, her scantily clad athletic form fully displayed for him, "So, is my destiny buddy going to give me a 20 minute ride or do I have to fuck a nasty cab driver to get home?"

He stares at her. Thinking a moment and decides to tease her.

"I don't know, perhaps you like fucking nasty cab drivers. I don't know, I don't know you. My ship isn't used for ferrying people short distances. I am getting ready to leave this world. I see no cargo here for myself to purchase, I have no desire to go to a slave auction this day." He said a semi-teasing tone.

He stared again at her body his eyes drinking in her form. One wouldn't really know if he was admiring her form or the strength he saw in her. He motioned for her to follow him.

"Come." He said to her with a slight smirk on his face and turned around and began to walk back to his ship.

She gave him a dramatic eye roll, "Eww."

Teasing, now that's more what she expected from her initial impression of him. As he turned and began walking, she admired his backside, Mmm, cute butt, she thought.

"No speeder then? Poo. There is another location you could drop me off at with a ship, but that'd just mean far more fees and hassle for you. In that case, would you be so kind as to float me a small loan, enough credits to hire the afore mentioned nasty cab driver without having to fuck it?" she asked as she followed.

"I really need to get on that bitch's trail lest she disappears. Hopefully she'll still be around," she paused, wrinkling her brow, "What's today's date and time?" she asked, wondering how long she'd been out.

He continues to walk as he speaks to her.

"Date? 28th Tuesday of June. Time 3 pm." Said with a bit of curiosity, as to why she'd need to know.

He stops and turns and looks at her again.

"Can't you tell? The sun is setting."

He turns again and begins to walk.

"So you want a loan, How do I know you'd be good to pay it back? I don't make it a habit of loaning pretty girls I buy money." He snickers softly as he walks. The blaster on his hip swaying a bit. They near the docks, the smell of the air indicating ships were close.

"Good, so I've only been out for half a day. She may be still in the area."

"You don't, gee wiz, here I thought you always handed them the deed to a penthouse," she teased back, "If you don't trust me to repay you, which I'm shocked, just shocked that you could even insinuate such a thing," she gave a dramatic-oh-so-long-suffering sigh, "I suppose we could come to an arrangement."

Hell, she'd already told him he'd caught her interest.

They walked along the pathway to Dock #3. There sat a large ship. Well large in respects to a single freighter.

He walked up to the hatchway on the side of the ship and pressed upon the control unit on his right wrist. The hatch lowered and he stepped onto the ladder.

"This is the Zansilbar. This is my home. My life. My business." Said very seriously.

He turned and looked at her and leaned in the doorway.

"What sort of arrangement did you have in mind?" Curiosity dripping from his words.

"Nice," she said, "She's a beauty. How long have you had her?" she asked curiously.

The hatch opened and he climbed up.

What sort of arrangement? I'm a female at a disadvantage, what sort of arrangement do you think? Either he was dense, his culture didn't have that sort of thing, or he was doing another 'test'.

"Well, I could let you take one of these gold plated bands they put on me, that would more than cover the cost, and I'd rather give it to the man who helped me than a grubby cab driver. However, you don't seem to want my money, so unless you have something else in mind, I guess that leaves me with gratitude sex," continuing on hastily lest he beat her to the punch, "I'd mate with a man like you over a cabbi any day," then she smirked, "At least I know you can afford good health care," she teased.

His eyes looked straight into hers as he replied to her question about the ships age.

"Had her for about a year, a custom ship designed by me. To aid my in my trade and travels." He said in a soft tone for the moment.

He eyed her as the next words left her mouth. Eyed her as in once again silently appraising her body.

"Hmm, So you wish to pay me in sex then? No. I have no use for your credits or your gold."

He taps the hull of the ship. A loud thunk is heard indicating quality metal plating.

"I have more money then I know what to do with at the moment." He shakes his head.

"Paid in Sex isn't something I do very often. Most of the time if I wish sex all I have to do is unchain one of the slaves aboard this vessel..."

His words trail off for a moment and he walks up the ladder.

"I am looking for someone to help me run this ship though." He disappeared into the cockpit.

"I don't exactly go selling my body either. I usually have no trouble finding a willing man or woman who catches my eye."

He want's me to join him. Hmmm. Can't hurt to take a look, and I do like the sound of 'more money than I know what to do with'. She was fairly well off herself as a successful bounty hunter, but extra credits never hurt. And if he in fact was what he claimed to be... well that only made things more interesting.

Anishima climbed up after him.

Damn, custom ship indeed. This thing's instrumentation a loan probably cost more than her dropship!

She whistled, "Nice, very nice. Definitely your baby. Never helped run a ship before, though I do have a modified dropship I fly, not that I'd expect you to let me anywhere near the pilot seat."

He'd pretty much sold her on the idea as long as he didn't have menial work in mind for her.

He walked into the cock pit and then sat down in the pilots chair. There was one other chair next to his and behind were mounted wall chains. He didn't look at her as he spoke.

"You may have said you aren't a slave, But. On my ship what I say goes. If I want you to make sure the systems are working correctly, I expect it done. I am not a Captain who is patient. I will not argue about orders. If you can handle that, then welcome aboard." He spoke calmly and very plainly, there was no malicious tone to his voice just one of fact.

He spun his chair around and looked her up and down again his eyes linger on her form once again. He then held his hand out to her.

"So, are you able to follow orders without question? Able to perform functions and tasks? Do you wish the life of a pirate and privateer hauling sensitive cargo throughout space? Or do you wish to remain on whatever rock I decide to drop you off on? Or if I am in a good mood at the time...the rock of your choosing then. The choice is yours." His brown eyes stare into hers. She feels something, Something that feels foreign a gentle tug on her mind probing searching for unguarded thoughts. (Jedi Mind Tick, but not influencing her thoughts just reading them)

His hand that was out stretched to hers begin to push buttons upon the control consoles. A thud was heard and the hatch closed.

She waited a moment before responding, "If you didn't run a taunt ship, I wouldn't even consider working with you. I'm not a spacey, and space is probably a hundred times more dangerous than I think it is because I don't know the billion and one things that could go wrong. If I do question an order, it will be after it is done, so that I can understand why I'm doing it, and take the initiative later without you having to order me to do it. As I said, I'm not a spacey yet, most every thing is going to be new to me."

"I have two conditions, well three. One: I don't work against my any of my people, unless there is a bounty on their head. Two: I don't bother children unless they're armed. Three: the name's Anishima, not bitch, slut or anything like that. Accept those terms, and I'll join you as soon as I've dealt with my dear friend Tina and gotten my possessions back."

His probing found she meant everything she said, and she knew she'd probably be studying every proverbial nut and bolt on this ship. There was a burning desire to make the bitch who sold her into slavery suffer greatly before she died. She was impressed with him, his performance at the tavern had aroused her. There was the warrior's desperate need to get her treasured weapons and tools back. And her navel piercing, she absolutely needed that back, even more than her weapons. That piece of jewelry was linked to a very heavily guarded part of her mind, though loss and anger seeped through.

Touching that thought also made her aware of his intrusion. There was shock at this realization, followed quickly by rage.

"Get out of my head," she growled, it was clear that he had hit a very very raw nerve. She clamped down on her thoughts, "You may be Captain, but my mind is mine alone. You don't respect me, and I walk now and you can forget that destiny stuff you preached to me about."

He smiled at her and shook his head.

"Had to put on an act for those guards. I know your name now and I'll use it. Before you were just a bitch and a slut. That it. Nothing more nothing less." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Get used to intrusions of all kinds. The world isn't a nice place and never will be. Just be glad you have someone here right here that knows what he's doing. Now as far as the one who wronged you, she will be found in time. I have no doubt. No one can hide from me forever. It has never been accomplished. Do you really wish to hunt her alone? As far as what I believe to be my Destiny and yours is concerned, only if you follow will it be reached. If you leave and don't...your timeline is forever altered. Its as simple as that." He says to her and lowers his hand. Eyes still watching her.

She had assumed the name calling was part of the act, but had wanted to make sure that it was only for the act.

"Accept my previously mentioned terms, treat me with respect, and don't go poking around my head without my permission, and I will work with you."

She held out her own hand now, she was still furious, but there was business at hand.

"If you want to help track her, I will accept your help. However, I will punish her for what she did to me.

He takes her hand. Again his strength suprising for his form.

"Your terms are acceptable. Children are not my thing. I will hunt this woman with you, you may torture her until you see fit. I care not what you do with her. Your mind...I suppose I will let you have privacy with. But there are times when even I cannot control it. As far as respect goes, that is earned not given. Don't fuck up, and don't do anything stupid that would make me think less of you and respect will be shown."

He continues to stare at her. His ship begins to lurch as the automatic docking procedures begin to take effect.

"Now. I suggest you sit down before your thrown to the floor. This is not your average little freighter." He said with a grin.

She shakes his hand, his grip is very strong once more, but there is something else, she had noticed as well when he had put his hand on her shoulder earlier. Something she couldn't put into words. Whatever it was, it felt odd, and yet right at the same time.

He of course was correct about respect.

She staggers slightly at the unexpected lurch, though no where near as much as most other species would have.

"Whoa!" she exclaimed as she quickly sits down, "I said after hunting her down. I also need my possessions back."

He had accepted her terms, she was damn well going to argue that, but she wasn't stupid and going to stay standing and unsecured if he did lift off.

He nods and chuckles as she ways with the lurching of the ship. He smiles a bit. A rare occasion.

"So, tell me exactly what you plan on doing to find this ....woman who wronged you. And are you sure she still has your possessions? Do you have accounts? Did you have anything on you that would let her access those accounts if you do? You might have nothing."

He does frown for a moment knowing all too well how devastating that could be. He goes silent for the moment he spins his chair around and then inputs coordinates and the ship does indeed leave the planets orbit.

"I planned to first check were I met her, and all the local pawn shops. As for my accounts and other possessions, that's why I needed to get to one of my safe houses damn it! I can't do that for fucking orbit! You agreed to my terms. I said after she was dealt with! We have an agreement!"

She was fucking pissed.

~he chuckled softly~ "You need to relax girly. Seriously." He sighed softly and turned his head toward a console and pointed to it.

"Look." A map was shown of the city with various landing docks and ports.

"Which one is closest to your safe house? Being in orbit allows me to move us somewhere faster."

He shrugged his shoulders waiting for her to indicate which docking platform was closest.
