The protests are still ongoing in Iran. It all started when Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old girl was killed by the moral security police on 16 September 2022. At least 326 people, including 43 minors, have been killed as of 12 November. Thousands are arrested and some people are just missing. Mahsa herself was arrested and killed because she wasn't wearing a proper hijab.
Most of the protestors and victims are young. The youth, people full of eagerness and energy for building a better future, are being massacred so that some old greedy, corrupt and superstitious old men can hold their power. People like Nika Shakarami, Sarina Esmailzadeh, Hadis Najafi, Asra Panahi and many others are killed so that people like Khamenei can remain in power and take the country backwards in every possible field.
In case of Asra Panahi, a 15-year-old student, they forcefully took her along with her classmates to a pro government meeting without the parents knowing. When the students refused to sing pro government songs, the security forces started beating the students and she was killed as a result of injury to her head.
On another occasion, some policemen were filmed while sexually abusing a woman in middle of a street in broad daylight. So, just imagine what they do to the prisoners behind closed doors.
