"THE WRONG TEXT MESSAGE" (Closed for Heartofcourage)

Gracie’s spirits were instantly lifted the moment that he offered to give her a lift no matter where she needed to go. Not even her boyfriend would do that for her and he was someone that she should have been able to depend on for anything. A smile broke out on her face and she squirmed on the sheets as she thought about meeting her mysterious new lover.

“If you wouldn’t mind driving me home, I would love to meet you.” She was trying to play it cool and keep her voice nice and calm but the excitement was already bubbling forth and she was sure that he could probably hear it in their conversation.

“Sorry. I know that probably sounds really desperate.” She said, laughing softly as the cloud of gloom and uncertainty was lifted off her. She felt lighter, cheerful, and hopeful, which was strange considering how the evening had started out with the death of her car and the break up of her relationship.

The sound of her telling him that she wouldn’t mind him driving her home thrilled him. His pulse pounded a little harder at the realization that she did want to meet him. In fact she sounded a bit eager and he smiled as he answered her with a laugh. “No it doesn’t sound desperate.”

Chris thought of her wearing a red dress and realized he didn’t tell her how to recognize him. “I’ll be wearing a grey suit,” he said. He chuckled as the thought of all the men who wore suits to work downtown. “Gracie almost everyone wears a suit so I’ll put a white carnation in my lapel so you can recognize me. I’m looking forward to meeting you on Friday Gracie and thanks for a great evening.”

As he waited anxiously for her reply, his thoughts turned to Stacey and what she would have to say to him for missing two phone calls. But then he thought that at this moment he really didn’t care what Stacey had to say, he was enamored with thoughts of the mysterious Gracie on the other end of the phone.

“Thank you too. It was just what I needed.” She said, blushing as soon as the words left her lips. She found herself smiling, a giggle leaving her lips as she felt so much better about her prospects in life as she bid him a good night and promised to meet him Friday.

Gracie was on cloud nine after she hung up the phone she vaulted off the bed, flinging open her closet and finding the red dress that she wanted to wear. She couldn’t help the smile on her face as she pulled the hanger from the rack and placed it on a padded chair in the corner of the room, trying to decide what sexy panties she should wear with it. Hell, she might not even get luck enough to get him into her bedroom, but she thought she should be prepared no matter what.

A black thong and a lacy push up bra would give her cleavage a boost under the beautiful gown. A pair of black heels and she thought that she would make quite the impression. Now all she had to do was wait until Friday. It seemed like an eternity away.

When she day arrived, she took off work and spent the day on her appearance. Her belly was full of butterflies as she carefully arraigned her red curls and took time to bathe and prepare herself. A little bit of makeup to her eyes and a swipe of lipstick across her lips made her look demure but alluring. Pulling on her undergarments and dress, she felt incredibly sexy and that was something that she hadn’t felt in so long.

With an hour to go, she called a cab and headed into the city, fidgeting as they drew closer to the café. Would they get along when they met in person? She had been thinking about what they had done on the phone and it had been absolutely explosive. She very much wanted them to get along in real life as well.

Stop it, Gracie, she scolded herself as the cab pulled in front of the café and she slipped some cash to the driver before she pulled herself from the vehicle and walked towards the front door, her belly churning with the uncertainty of what was about to happen.

When Chris bid good night to his mysterious phone companion his thoughts continued on about the woman who agreed to meet him on Friday. His mind played games trying to think of her looks and body type. Finally he shook his head and looked back at his phone. "Shit I have to call Stacey," he muttered while pressing the voice mail icon.

Stacey's voice on the first call was soft and congenial but he could detect a growing irritation on the second message. She wanted to know why he didn't answer the phone and what was he doing or who was he talking too. Chris felt some shame as he hit the redial button and waited for her to answer the phone. In a way he had cheated on Stacey and wondered what kind of inquisitive questions she would ask him. Looking at the clock on the dresser, it showed 12:30 am and he smiled. He and Gracie had been on the phone for over an hour and the thought of their conversation made his smile grow wider.

Chris was wondering why it was taking so long for Stacey to answer the phone. He thought he was about to be sent to her voice mail when the ringing stopped. His jaw dropped open at the sound of a man's voice answering the phone. His voice was groggy and there was no doubt in Chris's mind that he had been sleeping.

"Agggh hello," came the deep sound of the man's voice.

For a moment Chris thought he dialed the wrong number and was going to hang up. The man's voice on the other end of the line was breathing a bit heavier. "Man who in the hell is calling my phone at this hour?"

Chris pulled the phone away and looked at the lighted screen. He was sure he called the right number. "Is..... Is Stacey there? This is Chris."

The wait seemed an eternity and the sound of the silence was deafening in his ear. "Yea just a minute. Hey Stacey wake up. Some guy named Chris is on the phone for you."

Chris couldn't believe what he was hearing. In the background he heard a female voice. "Ohhhh fuck .... you bastard .... you should have said it was the wrong number." Chris was dazed by the revelation that Stacey was sleeping with someone else. She always professed her love for him and told him she never slept with other men when she was out of town. His brain was trying to wrap around the idea of his girlfriend sleeping with another man.

"Hello Chris?" There was a long pause and then he heard. "I'm sorry about that. Shelly and Jen were here with us and John was tired and we fell asleep watching a movie."

He could tell she was lying. He asked to talk to the other girls but Stacey deflected the question telling him they had just left. An argument ensued and Chris told her not bother looking him up when she returned to town. When he hung up on her in mid-sentence, he noticed his hand was shaking.

That night he slept very little thinking about Stacey and then Gracie. All night long his thoughts shifted from one to the other and in the morning he felt tired and exhausted.

Chris tried to put Stacey out of his mind at the office and slowly his thoughts turned to the mysterious Gracie. As the week wore on he found himself becoming more excited about meeting her. When Friday finally came, he was nervous about meeting Gracie. The questions about her looks and would they hit it off like they did on the phone kept creeping into his brain.

When he left the office, Cheryl, his secretary gave him a smile and then a low whistle. "Stacey and you must be going out on the town tonight," she stated with a sly laugh.

"I don't have time to go into it but I'm meeting someone else," he answered and left quickly to avoid the inquisition that she would surely ask of him.

Driving his BMW sports car to the cafe, he was nervous about meeting this woman. Pulling into the cafe's valet parking, he walked quickly into the restaurant, glancing around to see if she had arrived. The hostess told him a woman in a red dress had not arrived but she would be sure to show her to his table.

Sitting in the booth, Chris wondered if this was such a good idea and almost got up and left. He sipped his scotch and water slowly, constantly looking at his watch to see what time it was. He saw there was still about five minutes before there meeting time. He was lost in thought when he saw a cab pull up and a striking redhead got out and walked to the entrance. "Can this be his mysterious woman?" he mused. A moment later he heard the hostess tell the woman that a gentleman was asking if she had arrived. He peered across the restaurant to the hostess station and watched as the hostess walked with the stunning redhead toward him.

Gracie stood in front of the café for a moment, nervously brushing her hair from her face as she tried to calm her racing heart. Was she really meeting a man that she barely knew? Had she really shared an intimate moment with him over the phone? It had all seemed like a dream, but as she moved into the café, it was all becoming startling real.

“Hello! How can I help you?” The hostess asked, a smile on her face and Gracie nervously returned.

“I’m here to meet someone.” She said and the hostess instantly seemed to recognize who she was there for.

“Ah, yes, the gentleman was asking if you had arrived yet. Let me show you to his table.” She said, motioning the girl behind her to follow.

Following as the woman led her through the maze of tables, she caught sight of a handsome man sitting at a table by himself in a grey suit with a white flower in his lapel. Her mouth instantly went dry and her palms sweaty as she realized that this must be Chris.

As the hostess left them alone, Gracie gave him a shy smile and slid into a seat across from him. “Hi.” She said, all of her nerves making her voice sound squeaky and strange.

All she could think about sitting across from him was the way that he had sounded so abandoned in his pleasure. She could only imagine what he looked like spread out across a bed with his hard…

“It’s nice to finally meet you, Chris.” She said with a silly smile spreading across her face as she made herself stop thinking about such erotic things.

While he was sitting alone waiting for her, Chris went over in his head how they would start the conversation. You just don't say it was really nice the other night when both of us got off on the phone. No they had to start out talking about things that might be mutual to each other. And then if things worked out ..... well maybe just maybe.

Now that the hostess was leading a stunning redhead to his table, the butterflies were jumping uncontrollably in his stomach. The redhead had to be Gracie. It would be such a coincidence if she was someone else wearing a red dress that showed off her shapely figure. When the hostess arrived with Gracie in tow, Chris hoped that he wouldn't stumble all over his words and sound like an idiot.

He smiled thinking he looked like a blubbering idiot as she said hi and then slid into a seat across from him. He was momentarily speechless as the gorgeous redhead got comfortable in the chair. He thought of their conversation and erotic scenes flooded his brain of them thrashing around on the bed.

He was about to open his mouth when she said, “It’s nice to finally meet you, Chris.” He saw her smile and instantly started to feel at ease with this woman.

"Hi Gracie. I'm Chris and it is nice to meet you too." He hoped that he wasn't coming off sounding too goofy.

"I'm so glad you could make it today. I have been looking forward to meeting you all week."

The waitress showed up at the table and Chris ordered a glass of Merlot. "What can I get you hun," the waitress asked looking the woman up and down as if sizing up the situation between him and her.

Chris smiled and let out a soft chuckle. He always thought it was silly when the waitress called anyone hun as if they were cozy. As Chris waited for Gracie to respond he watched her closely and realized that maybe the missed phone call may be a blessing in disguise for him. Stacey had tried to call him a few times during the week but he just ignored her calls; letting them go to voice mail. He didn't bother to listen to them as he concentrated on work and looking forward to meeting Gracie.

Gracie felt herself completely at ease with the man across the table from her. He was nice, her was charming, and he made her smile All the things that her ex never took the time to do. A blush coated her cheeks when he said that he had been looking forward to meeting her all week.

“I’m so happy you said that because I have been looking forward to this too. In fact, I might have chosen this dress days ago.” She laughed softly at the look that he gave her as the waitress came to the table and asked her what she wanted.

“Oh.” She said softly, glancing down towards the table and the menus which she’d been ignoring. “A cup of coffee would be wonderful. Decaf, please.” She said, a smile for the waitress as she nodded and went on her way to get the order.

Her eyes turned back towards Chris as he smiled at her and she felt her mouth go dry. How would their conversation progress? Would it be awkward and filled with sexual tension? She hoped that wouldn’t be the case.

“So, Chris, what do you do for a living?” She asked, hoping that her attempt at casual conversation didn’t sound entirely desperate.

When Gracie was ordering her decaf coffee from the waitress, Chris let his eyes drift down her body, taking in her red dress with black lace. His eyes were drawn to her cleavage which showed an ample amount of skin above the top of the dress. When she finished order the coffee and he looked up into her face, he saw her looking at him and knew he had been caught looking.

There was an awkward moment as they waited for the waitress to leave. He was usually pretty good talking to people. Hell that was his business, marketing for various businesses. But now he found himself a bit tongue-tied. You don’t start out a conversation with, “Hey we had a good time getting each other off the other night.” He knew nothing about her except she was great looking and he was glad he was sitting here with her. He had wondered all week what Gracie would look like and now he felt a bit nervous sitting across from this beauty.

They needed to find out about each other rather then jumping right into trading sexual innuendoes about the other night. The other night on the phone was great for him and he knew they both had the other night on their mind. But that conversation would have to wait for a later time, if that time would ever happen. For all he knew right now they could go to bed and they would be horrible together. No that conversation had to wait.

When she asked him, “So, Chris, what do you do for a living?” He was relieved she didn’t want to start out with what they both experienced the other night.

The smile on his face was genuine as he looked at her. He was feeling more comfortable with her as he began. “I own a marketing company downtown. We do marketing studies for a number of clients who want to expand their businesses. Let’s say you have a business and you want to construct a new building in a certain town, we go in as front men and do the necessary demographics of the area for you. Then you can decide from our report whether you want to expand your business there or maybe have us look in another location or town.”

Chris watched her face as he told her about his business and she seemed interested. “So Gracie that is what I do everyday. How about you? What do you do everyday to occupy your time?”

He is so incredibly handsome, Gracie thought to herself as Chris spoke about what he did for a living. She could see that he was a man at ease with the public, one that exuded confidence and power. It didn’t surprise her that he worked in marketing. He was probably fantastic at what he did too.

She gave him a smile and pursed her lips, blowing on her coffee before she took a quick sip. It was black, a hint of sugar, just the way that she liked it. She swallowed as he asked her what she did and she slowly placed her cup back down on the table.

“Well, I’m a social worker.” She said softly. Her ex had never liked that she spent most of her time with the homeless. It was beneath him, she guessed, but she truly enjoyed the work that she did. “Mostly with children, but also the homeless.”

“My parents died when I was a senior in high school and the void just left me feeling empty and listless. I wanted to do something that would make a difference in other people’s lives so they would never have to feel the same way.” She shrugged slightly, her shoulders rising and falling and she couldn’t help but notice the way that Chris watched her cleavage through the deep cut of her dress.

“But I’m afraid that I’m rather boring. Besides work and the occasional stop at the bookstore, that’s all I really do.” She admitted to him, blushing hotly as his eyes met hers and she wondered what he was thinking.

While Gracie talked, Chris looked at her eyes and they seemed to sparkle as she described her social work. Every so often his eyes would glance down to her dress and he would think of their phone conversation. It would not be appropriate to bring it up but he had a feeling she wanted to broach the subject at some time during the meal. After all wasn’t that what brought them together?

“I don’t’ think your work is boring at all Gracie. That is very admirable of you to help those that are less fortunate than most of us. You should be proud of your work especially with the young children. They above all else are the ones that need a stable guiding hand to help them grow.”

Just as he finished talking the waitress came and took their orders. Would now be the time to bring up their conversation on the phone? He looked at her and again there was a momentary pause in their conversation. It always happens when two people first meet they feel the need to find things to talk about as opposed to some who have been together for a long time and are comfortable with each others silence.

“I enjoy reading too. I enjoy a good murder mystery or just a good detective novel where you can’t figure out who did it until the very end. I also like history biographies and just finished a book about Lincoln’s assassination.”

The waitress brought their salads and when she left, Chris wanted to ask about their phone sex but instead asked. “What are you interested in reading Gracie?”

After the waitress came for their orders, Gracie found the silence between them stretching on a bit uncomfortably. She wanted to ask him about what had happened the other night, but it seemed too harsh to ask. Their conversation was going well and she had to admit a healthy dose of attraction towards the sharp dressed man sitting across from her.

“Oh! I love mysteries too!” She exclaimed as his talk turned towards books. “And historical works. I mostly read about European events though. It’s always been a dream of mine to go on a grand tour of Europe. I’ve just never really found the time.”

She glance down at the salad that had been placed in front of her and then looked back at Chris as he lifted his fork and began to eat. She took in a deep breath and took up her own utensil, glancing at him from time to time as she gathered the courage to ask the question that she really wanted to ask.

“So…umm…” She started, spearing a piece of tomato before she ventured into the territory that both had been wanting to speak of since they first met. “I just wanted you to know that I had a really good time the other night.”

She blushed. Why was she blushing? Dipping her head slightly, she nibbled on her lower lip before she brought the tomato to her lips and carefully took a bite, chewing it before she continued.

“That message seemed to come at just the right time. My boyfriend and I broke up that night and my car had just broken down.”

When she said she loved mysteries too Chris felt they had more in common than just phone sex. He smiled at the way she was excited talking about wanting to go to Europe. He had been to a few European countries and found their lifestyle much different than the American lifestyle.

There was a short pause while he began to eat his salad. Chewing a bit of lettuce he noticed she had not started to eat rather she was playing with a piece of tomato. She glanced up at him and then back to her plate. He watched her push it back and forth with her fork seemingly trying to decide how to stab it or she had something else on her mind.

For a moment Chris thought she might be trying to decide if she should continue with the meal or maybe she wanted to call off the date and leave the restaurant. When she took a deep breath, he could tell she was working up the courage to say something and he let out a soft sigh of relief when she told him she had a really good time the other night.

Watching her blush and then take a bite of the tomato, Chris was about to speak when she added, “That message seemed to come at just the right time. My boyfriend and I broke up that night and my car had just broken down.”

Chris placed his fork on the plate and looked at Gracie. It took a lot of courage for her to speak up and he felt a bit embarrassed that he didn’t’ broach the subject first. But it was now out in the open for discussion. Now she looked at him, waiting to hear what he had to say.

“I too had a great time Gracie. I am glad that the circumstances brought us together. As you know, I thought for the longest time I was talking to my girlfriend Stacey ….. ahhh I mean my ex-girlfriend. You had a very sensaul voice and it excited me. To tell you the truth when you didn’t hang up on me I was really surprised. But I’m glad you didn’t hang up on me and I’m glad you agreed to meet me tonight. I have been a bit nervous all week thinking about how this date might go and so far I am enjoying myself as I hope you are.”

A soft smile crossed his face. He saw her look of satisfaction but he felt he needed to quickly clear one thing. “You may be wondering about my ex-girlfriend. After we talked that night, I called her and found out she was sleeping with one of her clients. So I told her we were done and though she has called my office and cell phone numerous times this past week, I have not talked to her.”

He watched her face the whole time and when she didn’t say anything right away he mentioned. “Gracie I’ve thought about the words you spoke to me that night and I must say they have stayed with me all week. I found them to be very sensual and exciting. I get excited just thinking about our conversation.”

Chris picked up his fork and took a bite of salad. He wasn't sure where this was leading but all indications seem to be in the right direction.

Gracie was instantly relieved to hear that the phone conversation they had was effecting Chris in the same way that it was her. She gave him a warm smile, a hint of blush still coloring her cheeks. She was pleased that he wasn’t seeing anyone else and was even more secretly pleased that they both seemed to have so much in common. They might have just met, but she could feel something in her bones that this was going to be a good match.

Again she blushed when he mentioned her words that night and she gave him a silly little smile. “Well, I’m much reserved in my day to day life, but there was something about the unknown that night that gave me such a thrill.”

The silence that stretched between them seemed much more comfortable as they finished their salads. The air had been cleared and Gracie found that she could most definitely breathe easier.

As the main course was brought out, Gracie was building up her courage to speak again. “I was thinking…after this maybe we could go down to the art gallery. It’s only a block away and they have a new exhibit of modern masters I’ve been wanting to see.” She had no idea if he even liked art. It was a stab in the dark to keep this magical moment going. “I mean, if you don’t mind.”

Never in a million years could she have gotten her ex to go with her to see something like an art gallery. She'd always dreamed of finding someone that shared her interests. It always seemed that she seemed to attract guys that were more interested in partying then in her.

A smile spread across his face when Gracie mentioned she was much more reserved in her day to day life. He envisioned her lying on her bed as he was too, naked, listening and participating in the phone sex as she recounted about the unknown thrill of that night.

“I agree Gracie,” he said with a soft smile. “I’m so glad you didn’t hang up. Just knowing you feel the same way about the pleasure we gave each other that night gives me a thrill.”

The salmon topped with spices and dill sauce was placed in front of him. He looked up at Gracie and listened to her speak about the new exhibit of modern masters at the art gallery. He took a bite of his salmon contemplating what she had asked. Could it be that she liked some of the same things he did.

“Gracie I don’t mind going to the gallery. In fact we helped support some of the arts in town and if I remember right my secretary told me last month that we contributed money to bring in some of the new art.” He saw a look of surprise on her face. He smiled and continued. I like some of Mark Campbell's and Eric Wallis's art. They are very talented as are a lot of artists. I sometimes envy their talent wishing I could do what they do. There are so many different types of art that are so expressive of ones true inner self.”

Chris looked down at his plate smiling. Could it be that they both like the same type of art. Stacey was never very interested in the arts thought she did accompany him on some of his trips to the gallery.

When he looked back at Gracie he saw her cleavage and then he looked into her eyes as he added. “I like a lot of the different artists and their work but I do have to admit I enjoy some of the photography modern masters such as Peter Gassner's photography the most. He seems to capture the essence of each object he shoots and he definitely has an eye for the right shot and right camera lighting.”

There were so many types of modern masters that one could enjoy such as glass, sculptures, mixed media, kaleidoscopes, and much more. Picking up another piece of salmon he thought for a moment and then chuckled. “Maybe you can tell me why most to the artists seem to capture the various essence of the female form whether they are clothed or nude but rarely do they capture the male. Do you like that type of art and why do you think the female form is so dominate in art?”

It was evident she liked art and Chris slowly chewed his salmon watching her take in his thoughts before she replied.

Gracie blushed deeply as he mentioned that the phone call had given him a thrill. She felt a shiver race up her spine and she smiled shyly, laughing as the waitress returned with their meals. She glanced down at the grilled chicken with mushrooms and absently thought to herself that she didn’t even remember ordering.

Picking up her knife and fork, she carefully cut into the meat and brought it to her lips, sighing softly at the savory taste as Chris started to talk about the art gallery and how much he would like to go.

She was stunned, to say the least. He was an art lover too? She could never have dragged Justin to an art gallery in a million years! How was it that fate had put this man, this incredibly perfect man, so firmly in her path. A slow smile started to cross her face as she listened to him talk about his favorite artists.

“I’ve heard they have a large photography gallery too. I love photography.” She mentioned, laughing softly as she turned her attentions down towards her plate. “Although, I will admit that I’m more of an old master type of girl. Monet, Van Gogh, Da Vinci…that’s the kind of art for me.”

She glanced up as he asked her about female nudes and she blushed yet again. Was he thinking about her being naked? She really didn’t mind that thought at all.

“Well, maybe it’s because women are so much prettier than men.” She teased before she took another bite and chewed slowly. “Men are so much more stark in contrast. They’re all angular lines and harsh edges. There’s a certain softness to women.”

Listening to her tell him about the old masters was intriguing to him. “I do like looking at the paintings of the old masters and am always amazed that their art has lasted for centuries while some of our modern art has a short life.” I have often wondered if someone could replicate the paintings of the masters, they would make millions. I do look forward to going to the gallery with you Gracie.”

Chris laughed at her suggestion that women were so much prettier then men. But when she teased and mentioned that there is a certain softness to women that men don’t have, he thought he detected that it was more than just a casual comment.

“We may be stark and contrast with angular lines and harsh edges but it seems women can’t do without us,” he laughed as he said the teasing words.

He took another bite of his delicious salmon and smiled. “I’m glad you love photography.” He held up his hands similar to how a film director does on the movie set when he wants to frame a picture. His hands framed her face and then he said, “Hmmm I see a lot of potential of you as a model. Maybe someday you will let me take some photos or you.” He thought of her modeling some sexy lingerie while he snapped photos of her.

The waitress appeared and brought him out of his daydream. She was asking if they wanted dessert. Chris looked at Gracie and then at the waitress. “I think we will just take the bill.” Then as if dismissing the waitress he turned his attention to Gracie. Her cleavage was distracting him, giving him erotic thoughts of them together. “What do you say we go to the gallery and see what new displays they have to show us?”

“Yes, there seems to be something about men that we all find irresistible.” Gracie teased back to him as he laughed.

She was having an amazing time with him that evening. Could things really get any better? She didn’t know but she had a feeling that they might and she had high hopes that their evening would end with fireworks.

She nearly choked on her food when he mentioned using her as a model. She blushed deeply and looked at him with a smile upon her lips. “Me? Modeling? No, I don’t think I have the looks for that.” She answered simply as he looked at her with a hunger that she’d never seen before. “Although, maybe the right man could convince me other wise.”

As the waitress appeared at the table, she glanced towards the woman when she asked if they wanted dessert. Shaking her head as Chris looked at her, she reached for her purse to pay her half of the bill, protesting as Chris picked up the entire thing. With a soft sigh, she watched him closely as he turned his attentions back to her, his eyes trailing briefly towards her cleavage and then back to her face.

“I would love to.” She said as she stood and smoothed out the wrinkles in her skirt, waiting until Chris came to her side before she took his arm. “And I just want you to know that I’m having a wonderful time tonight.”

When she hooked her arm onto his, he smiled at her. “I too am enjoying your company,” he responded. She seemed to fit perfectly against him and he enjoyed the way her breast brushed his bicep muscle as they walked through the restaurant. He noticed a lot of people were turning their heads to watch them. He was sure they were looking at Gracie and her soft beautiful facial features and not at him. Just walking with her made him feel good.

The attendant was quick to retrieve the BMW from valet parking. One of the young men made an attempt to open her door but Chris waved him off. Opening the door, he said laughingly, “your carriage awaits milady.”

Hustling to the driver’s side he easily slid behind the wheel and gunned the engine as they headed to the art gallery. He loved his BMW and especially the stick shift on the floor. He had the option to drive in automatic or shifting with a button on top of the gear shifter. He chose the stick option and was soon buzzing through traffic. Every so often Chris glanced over at Gracie, seeing her looking out the window as they traversed the city streets. But it was the way her breasts jutted out invitingly that got his attention.

It took about fifteen minutes to negotiate traffic to reach the art gallery. Pulling up to the valet parking, Chris got out and saw Jack Whittaker standing in the front of the door greeting guests.

Jack had a huge smile on his face as he approached the vehicle. Jack saw Gracie and opened the door, extending a hand to help her out of car. As he held her hand he asked, “Chris how are you? I wish you would have called and let me know you were coming.”

Chris joined them as the valet team left with the car. “Jack I didn’t know I was coming until a little while ago. Ohhhh I’m sorry. Please excuse my bad manners. Jack let me introduce you to my friend Gracie.” Chris saw the look on Jack’s face and it could mean what happened to Stacey. “It’s a long story Jack and someday I’ll tell you about it.”

“Well Gracie it is a pleasure to meet you. Any friend of Chris’ is a friend of mine and always welcome here. Come on inside. We have some wine and hors d'oeuvres for all our patrons and we are very excited about the new art display that arrived a few days ago." Jack hooked his arm inside Gracie's other arm and the two men led her into the art gallery. As they got to the door, Jack asked, "Tell me Gracie are you an art lover?”

Standing patiently at the valet stand, Gracie took the moment to look at Chris and study him closely. He was a handsome man, one that had turned out to have many of her same interests. It was amazing, she thought to herself, that she had gone through so many frogs in her life to finally find a prince charming.

“Wow. That’s your car?” She asked with amazement as the sleek BMW was pulled up next to them and she was escorted to the passenger’s side. Sliding into the seat as lady like as possible, she gave him a smile as he closed the door and hurried over to the other door. “It’s very nice.”

She let out a gasp as she was buckling her seatbelt and he gunned the engine, squealing away from the curb. She laughed softly, looking over at him as he pulled into traffic on his way to the gallery. She glanced out her window to watch the city pass them by as the trip continued in a comfortable silence.

Pulling up in front of the gallery, she waited until her door was opened by a man that Chris obviously knew. Taking his hand, she gave him a smile as he helped her from the car and Chris moved to join them. She was quiet as he introduced her to Jack and she nodded at him as he made her acquaintance.

“Thank you very much, Jack. It’s a pleasure to meet you too.” She sad, taking Chris’s arm as Jack hooked his arm through her free one and guided them through the entrance into the gallery.

“I’m a very big art lover. In fact, I was the one that convinced Chris to come today.” She said, looking up at Chris with a cheeky grin.

Jack broke into a very wide grin. “Well I’m very pleased to meet another art lover and glad that you suggested he bring you here tonight. It is always nice to have such beauty gracing my art gallery. Chris and his company have been very generous with their donations to help display some of the area’s finest artists. We have some very interesting art on display. Everything from hand painted glass, painted canvas, and photography.” Jack waved at another patron as he continued. “We have several pieces by a local artist where she makes beautiful pictures by simply putting dots on a paper with a pen. Even the most trained eye can’t tell from a distance that the picture is made up of only dots. I would be most interested to know if you can spot it.”

Chris listened to Jack go on about his art pieces and then a patron approached them and Jack excused himself. He walked away giving his new listener the same excited spiel. “He is quite the art dealer,” Chris said taking Gracie’s arm.

She felt good on his arm and he saw the excitement in her eyes as they started looking at the various forms of art on display. “I’m sorry Jack doesn’t have the old masters like Monet, Van Gogh, and Da Vinci on display. Those paintings are only shown in highly public places and besides it would be a security nightmare for him.

In the back of the art gallery, there were some paintings of a more sensual nature hanging on the walls. Some of them showed only women in various poses and other had men with them. One theme they all had in common was the sensual and erotic nature between them. Chris smiled and then laughed. “I think you are right Gracie. I see the men have ….. how did you say …… angular lines and harsh edges while the women have certain softness to them.”

He put his arm around her waist and drew her to him. “I like women with a soft side but I like them also with an adventurous side too. By the way did you know that this particular painting is done by dots?” He looked back at the painting of a woman and man both nude. The woman was sitting on the floor between his outstretched legs while the man behind her was cradling her in his arms, her breasts concealed by his arms.

Gracie listened politely as Jack spoke to her about Chris’s contributions to the art gallery. She was most definitely impressed that the man who’s arm she was upon was such a lover of the fine things in life. She glanced at Chris and gave him a smile and a wink as she turned back to Jack.

“Oh, I’m most definitely sure that I will not be disappointed.” She said as Jack excused himself to talk to another patron.

Gracie smiled as Chris’s lips drew close to her ear, telling her about his opinion of Jack. She turned her gaze towards Chris’s handsome face and gave him a wistful smile. “He most definitely is and I can’t tell you how happy I am to know that you are one of his best patrons.”

She laughed at the look in his eyes as he stared down at her. Oh, how she wanted to kiss those perfect lips, but she held herself back, not wanting to seem too forward. She sighed as he pulled her towards a back gallery, explaining to her why he couldn’t have the old masters there. She nodded in understanding, a bit disappointed but excited to see what new and unusual works were kept there.

The art was very sensual, erotic, and incredibly titillating. Chris showed her from piece to piece and she let him know her opinion on a few. When he laughed, she looked at him in questioning and smiled as he concurred her opinion from earlier.

“I’m glad to know you’ve come around to my way of thinking.” She teased as his arm slid around her waist and pulled her close to his hard body. She gasped, her eyes raising to his as he whispered to her.

“It was a lucky guess.” She said in a low voice, turning her head to look at the portrait that Chris was currently staring at. “It’s very beautiful though. Such an intimate moment between two people. You have to wonder if it was painted from real life.”

She could imagine her and Chris in that position, his hard cock pressing against her bottom as he held her closely. It would be a few moments before he pressed into her wet…

Shaking her head, she turned her eyes up towards Chris’s and she felt a blush stain her cheeks. She hardly knew him, but she was already thinking about what sex would be like between them. Why did it matter so much to her?

“Chris…” She murmured in a soft voice, her tongue poking out to wet her lips as she sucked in a deep breath. “I think I’d like you to kiss me.”

When Gracie wondered if the painting before them was painted from real life, he thought of them, locked together as the two lovers were in the painting. He thought of them naked, carefree, enjoying themselves as they indulged in sensual delights.

There was an awkward moment as they each stared at the erotic painting. Chris looked at her shaking her head and then saw the blush on her cheeks. She was thinking something and he felt it was the same thing he wanted; to see if the phone sex would be as good in real life.

He was pleased and taken aback a little when she asked, “Chris… I think I’d like you to kiss me.”

He smiled and looked around the art gallery. She was asking him to kiss her as if they were alone in some secluded place. But they were in the back room of an art gallery and a few patrons were looking at the same paintings has they had. He wondered if the paintings had the same effect on them as it seemed to have on him and Gracie.

Putting his hands on her hips, he drew her closer so their lips were almost touching. He pictured a painting of them together in this pose ready to experience their first kiss. "Gracie ..... I ah .... I have been wanting to kiss you since I saw you walking into the restaurant."

He didn't care that the people were now looking at the two lovers in the middle of a small room with erotic sensual paintings hanging on the walls. He saw her eyes close slightly, expectantly for his lips to touch hers. He didn't disappoint her as he drew her tight against him and then his lips touched hers for the first time.

He let out a low soft moan against her lips while the kiss deepened. One hand moved up her back to hold her gently but firmly against him while the other hand slipped to her lower back. His hands moved slowly in circles while the kiss became deeper. He didn't care that people were now gawking at them. The only thing on his mind was Gracie.

Gracie smiled as he placed his hands upon her hips, drawing her closer so their lips were almost touching. She sighed softly, shivering at the intimate contact as he told her that he had been thinking about this kiss since she first walked into the restaurant.

“I’ve been thinking the same, Chris.” She said as his lips touched hers for the first time.

She moaned at the feel of his warm lips against hers, his arms pulling her soft body closer as they embraced one another in the middle of the crowded art gallery. She should have been embarrassed, blushing as red as her hair, but with Chris holding her so tightly, she didn’t care.

Her fingers curled against the fabric of his jacket, holding on for dear life as the kiss deepened deliciously. She whimpered as she parted her lips, allowing his tongue to duel with hers. She fought him for supremacy but secretly let him with as she pressed her body tightly against his.

This was pure heaven, she thought as she felt his hands tracing along her back, holding her close and stoking the fire that was starting to burn deep in her belly. She wanted this man in the worst way, but something kept her from telling him what she really wanted. Would it be presumptuous of her to ask him back to her house? Would it be too soon to take him to her bed? She didn't know and the thoughts made her head spin in the most dizzying of ways.

Chris had his doubts about meeting Gracie especially after the lustful phone conversation. When he saw her for the first time the doubts ebbed somewhat during the first awkward words exchanged between them. But now all doubts were gone as they kissed for the first time in the openness of the art gallery. Usually first kisses were meant to be taken in the privacy of a car, or on a doorstep but not in front of a lot of people.

He could hear the murmuring of some patrons as they looked on. But the only thing on his mind now was the sweetness of the kiss and passion that was ignited in his body. He wanted to touch her all over, gaze on her nakedness, and kiss all the wonderful parts of her that he only imagined when they talked on the phone. This was no place for fun and frivolity. He wanted to take her home but did she want the same. The way she kissed sure seemed like a an invitation for more.

Pulling back from the kiss, he was surprised his breathing was more rapid. Looking into her shimmering eyes, he smiled and then laughed. "Gracie it seems we have an audience." His gaze turned to the small crowd of patrons standing nearby watching them. They were smiling and some of the them poked their partners, pointing to them and whispering.

Taking a chance that his instincts were right Chris returned his gaze to her and asked, "Gracie why don't we take this to someplace more private. Your place or mine?"

Gracie whimpered, her lips still searching for his as he pulled away from her, his hands still holding her close. She slowly opened her eyes, shivering at the smile that he had on his face. It was a smile of appreciation, one that told her exactly what was going to happen once they left that art gallery.

“An audience?” She whispered, following his gaze to the small crowd that was watching their intimate moment. She blushed deeply, her eyes turning back to his quickly as deep embarrassment settled over her. “Oh. I…ummm….”

She was stammering as he took the lead and asked her the question that she had wanted to hear all night. He wanted to take her out of there, to a place more private and she let out a soft moan in response. Could she take him to her home? Did she trust him enough to do that?

“Yours.” She answered after a moment, taking his arm again as he led them on a hasty retreat from the gallery.

Once she was back in the front seat of his car, she glanced over at his handsome face with a smile. She nervously played with the hem of her skirt, her heart hammering in her chest as he pulled easily out into traffic and they were off to a destination unknown.

“Chris, I really don’t hope that you think I’m…overly eager.” She said, another hot blush coating her cheeks as she looked at him across the dark interior of the car. “I just…I really like you.”
