I drive by the SEARS in town all of the time, and it is always a fucking ghost town.

I purchased a chain saw there in the Spring. In the Fall I went in to purchase a replacement chain and was told that I would have to do that via the internet because they don't stock replacement parts. That's just not the sort of strategy that builds customer loyalty and drives them back to the store. I just stopped buying Craftsman and took that business somewhere else.

Online shopping has replaced a lot of brick and mortar businesses. Sears used to be a great company. I have bought thousands of dollars in Craftsman tools in years past when they were still made in the USA, with no complaint. Now if I buy a tool I try and find an American made brand.

A large amount of their hand tools are still made in USA and almost all Craftsman tools are made by companies like Dewalt, Western Forge, etc.
