I agree and I wasn't saying that this is what is going to be done, I was just asking if it could be and throwing out some ideas. (I do hope that the tone of this isn't argumentative).

I'm not planning on doing a crappy piece per se. Just something off the wall.

For some of us crappy writers, getting accepted is a major plus. The readers take care of the rest. Hopefully, I'm getting better by continuing to write. We'll see.

I think some one should come up with a general background and let the writers go to work on their ideas. It might be helpful if non of the writers conclude that the main character is any particular way, or like any particular thing.

Say, if the main character is a female then give her description. Do she have a dog? What's the dogs name, but don't say what she will or won't do with the dog. Is she married. Don't box in her husband.

The general description of the main character might need to be general enough to allow writers flexibility.

That's my two cents.

KillerMuffin, sweet sunshine - we're NOT going to spell anything wrong. With "writing crap" I'm talking about rotten plots, clichées, stupid names like Dick Leecage, clichées, weird dialogues where everyone talk like a really cheap porn flick, clichées... and lots of clichées.

In order for us, who I claim are good authors, to write a really BAD story, we have to be - clever.

OK, I change what I said earlier. Here's all the background you'll get:

Our main character is a woman. She's single. She's adventurous. She wants action. The chain starts on friday night, and ends on sunday night.

Now, we have 6 writers.

OK - so now we have NO BDSM, but instead we have one taker for the lesbian category, and one for the non-consent. Anyone else want to change their options?

The girl wears wigs, MV. She can look however she wants. She may use colored contacts, to change her eye color. She may have one of those bras where you can inflate little balloons inside, to make your bust look 6 sizes bigger. She may even be schizophrenic, and each of her personalitites has a different style - punk, goth, 18th century romantic, classic suit and tie, etc.
