CBC was completely silent as the bodies of the 4 Canadian soldiers were transported off the C-130 in Germany.

*swallows* Excuse me. I'm not feeling that well.

We should all pause for a moment to remember the 4 Canadians who lost their lives this week. As all Americans should know, Canada is our closest ally and the best friend were could have. Any little squabbles we may have are more siblings horsing around. We in the US should think of this as the same thing as losing four of our own, because they truly are our brothers.

Very well said.

Absublutly!

In NATO, the Canadian flag is at half-staff. Ours should be as well. :(

I, as an American, am very sorry.

Neither am I... Fact is CNN (who cuts programing to follow dubbya in an elementry school) AND CBC (who supposedly is out government based broadcaster) didn't air the early morning events in Germany.

Is anyone else in Canada feeling how I'm feeling? Like this whole thing is just being brushed aside by not only the rest of the world but by our own media?!

CBC gladly carries exstensive coverage of the Queen Mum passing away even though Canada isn't under monarch rule any more... Yet four of our own die serving our country and they can't pay them the proper respect?

This entire deal is starting to make me sick to be quite honest...

Thank you our northern brothers, I am sorry for your loss, but I
{I wanted to say we, but some may not understand} know why we fight the fight, it is just truly sickening in the year 2002 that we still have not got it right. Peace to all !! PLEASE

I've been looking for articles on what happened, and I can't find any. :(

I'm very sorry, and my best wishes are with the soldier's families.

Edit: Ugh. I did find some articles. I don't feel so well myself. :(

CNN.com had it on the front page. MSNBC had it up earlier. I don't really watch television too much, but if they glossed over it on the most popular form of mass media that was wrong. It's good to be dedicated in this war against terrorism; but excessive zeal in pursuing an end, to the point of justifying any sort of means used to accomplish it, is terrorism.

No mater how those four canadians died they are still heros. May god watch over there souls.

I want to thank everyone.....

It was on Newsnet last night, around 11PM.

*sighs* I guess we're just supposed to accept this......but, aside from peacekeepers, these were the 1st casualties since the Korean War......

Thanks. I've got to go eat breakfast and write a final.....

Take care, everyone.

*hugs Strawberry* Thanks, hon.
