I'm sorry, but it seems that several people, who can't seem to find valid, logical ways to argue ONE point, often tend to grasp at other straws.

They can't reason out the topic of discussion in their favor, so they reach out to any and all topics relating to the argument they can't win in an attempt to make the problem seem so vast and unchangable, that only a fool would try to make a difference.

Why not just say, I don't care. I want what I want and I don't give a fuck about the downside.

It may be selfish, but at least it's honest, and it's totally inarguable.

Of course I do! Jesus. I put on three events a year to raise money for our local AIDS organization, I work in communtiy radio (donateing my pay back to the station), I councel (which is mostly listening to and keeping occupied) teenagers with social issues. These are regular activities for me.

I'm not claiming perfection. I'm just aiming for it. I'll never get there, but I can do a lot of good in the attempt.
