Yep, just awful, this world.
Got up this morning to watch the dawn over the mountains. Drank herbal tea while enjoying the sounds of the kookaburras waking up. Watched the sheep meander in the paddock full of juicy grass.
Drove down to town to do a little shopping for groceries, and found an extra $138 in my bank account.
Stopped past the library, which happened to have 3 books by authors I really enjoy.
Came home and realised I have absolutely no housework to do for the rest of today, so now I am sitting outside in the sunshine, answering emails and checking lit.
I am completely relaxed and at peace with the world.
Yep, awful place to be stuck on, this lonely rock floating thro space.

what else do you expect when- advertisment has us chasing cars and clothes so we work jobs we hate so that we can buy shit we don't need.

i do keep myself informed and i do not swallow the bullshit from any government or corporations.

but i do keep things in perspective. today i got some horse manure for a garden and thinking of all the fresh organic vegetables i'll grow. helped in plans for this years community garden that is not far from here that i volunteer to help in. watched 2 redtail hawks circling over this place. watched deer walk into the field to feed. 2 does are obviously pregnant. and just got through listening to coyotes sing over the next ridge.

That doesn't just happen. The $138 came from someone else who probably is in desperate need.

The money came from the bastardex - first payment on his new child support amount.
I was shocked. This is the man who complained about having to pay $31/month

I'm a miser who has never bought into the materialistic nonsense that seems to dominate people's lives these days.
I find joy in the simpler things - I do not need a 120inch plasma screen to watch the news.
