when I was 20 the birth control pills I was on, caused blood clots to form in my left leg.I had well over 50 and I almost lost my leg............I wasn't even a smoker...... so I spent two weeks in hospital on my back, with a purple leg, finally the pressure eased and the blood flow increased.. and I got to leave leg is still about two inches wider around than the other one and I have trouble when I have to stand too long....
