The Washington Post Publishes Op Ed Claiming That The Lion King is a Fascistic Story

I mean, to be fair, it is anti-democracy. It's a "True King" story. The answer to the problem isn't to abolish the monarchy, it's to go find the "True King".

That's not on the Lion King, though, that's on Hamlet.

The Lion King just kept that aspect in-tact.

Weirdly I watched the Lion King today. That's just serendipitous. Except not really because the remake is coming out so everyone is rewatching it.

Also, Bitesize said Timone reminded her of me and like... I'm kinda insulted? Little Bit? I don't... really... like that.

I would die of starvation before I ate a bug.

Also like part of her logic was that he was smaller than anybody else which is big fuckin talk for somebody who's whole body is the size of my torso. You gonna roast somebody for somethin you better make sure they can't just pick you up and throw you onto a couch.

I'm looking forward to the movie. I've enjoyed most of the live action remakes and I like Favreau altho I couldn't get into Jungle Book for reasons I'm not sure of.

I also couldn't get into the Jungle Book for reasons that I'm not sure of. Cartoon or live action. It's a perfectly good movie with perfectly good songs and whatnot but I never really got into it.

I don't like Scar's redesign for the new movie. The fan design was better.

Hey Disney? You know that real lions can be brunettes, right? Like you are aware that that's a thing?

Like this real actual lion just out here living his life looks more like Scar than their Scar.

This actual scarred lion.

And I've seen people making the claim that they wanted him to look like Mustafa's littermate, but if you're brushed up on your Lion King lore, like I am, or if you've ever had a cat that had a litter of kittens, like I also have, it's perfectly reasonable that twin brothers would look like that, from the same litter. They're fraternal, not identical.

And their parents look like this:

It makes perfect sense that Uru would give birth to a litter that looks like this:

I just don't like it. Don't like the design.
