The Walking Dead

While less dramatic than an A-list star why is everyone forgetting Eugene?

My money is on Abraham and or Eugene unfortunately as I dig both characters.

That hug scene (Abe/Eugene) and that I'll have a baby with you I'm ready scene(Abe/Sasha) are my clues.

Who are these Renaissance fair wanna beez on horseback?

I could see Eugene dying in a general sense because the character was sort of "redeemed" in recent weeks, but I think fans would feel cheated -- er, feel even more cheated than they already are -- if there's a six-month cliffhanger for the death of someone who, let's face it, is a secondary character.

I think only Daryl, Maggie, and Glenn have that sort of significance. My guess is Daryl, because I thought from the moment we met Jesus that he was being groomed as a replacement badass.

It really doesn't matter who it is because he said he wasn't going to kill the person, just beat the ever loving shit out of him/her. It gives the show an out and still allows them to be at least partly faithful to the comic by it being Glenn.

Just saying.

See above. A cliffhanger where no one even fucking dies?

I think the obsession the current showrunner seems to have for getting the show on track with the goddam comic really ruined this past season. In order to force this confrontation, Rick and his people have had to act like complete idiots for several episodes in a row.

And frankly, all the orgasmic squeals of the comics people about "NEGAN IS COMING OMFG!!!!!!" haven't swayed me from my original opinion: this is nothing we haven't seen on this show before. Middle-aged psycho runs a compound, except this one has both his eyes. Yeah, exciting.

Someone died. Bank on it.

I don't quire follow the whole "acting like complete idiots" to "force a confrontation." Care to explain?

Granted they turned out to be correct but I thought they were fucking idiots when they agreed to Hilltops terms to attack Neegan. At that moment the only thing they had done to gain ANY trust was Jesus didn't slit everybody's throats while they slept.

If I was say the Governor and I had Alexandria near by and a roving group of bad asses came to town you'd better believe I'd put on my best sob story and point you in their direction. Best case scenerio double KO

First, attacking Negan's base without being provoked, even though Negan's people had no idea who they were (there were no survivors of that one earlier encounter) or that Alexandria even existed; and even though they had ample warning from the Hilltop that these were not folks to be trifled with. I knew Rick's plan wasn't going to work in the long run because of Negan spoilers, but what was weird was that no one at Alexandria challenged him either, even though his previous bright idea (the zombie Pied Piper thing from last fall) was another clusterfuck.

Second, even if they had assumed the first attack had pretty much eliminated Negan as a threat, what happened to Denise and Daryl's party after that should have gotten everyone's attention all over again. Even leaving Carol and her totally unexplained crisis out of it, Daryl, Michonne etc. let their guards down way too much a week ago. Thank Rick and all his "the world is ours" nonsense -- getting cocky not because it was justified by their situation or because that's his natural personality (if anything he's usually careful to a fault), but because the show needed to find a way for almost everyone in the main cast to simultaneously find themselves in danger.

Anyway, that's how I see things.

The Pied Piper thing would have worked just fine if not for the Wolves however. And if he hadn't tried it they would have been in mostly the same clusterfuck. Only with their good fighters at home when the Wolves hit.

Also knowing a plan will fail because of narrative causality isn't REALLY fair. I mean sure anybody who's ever watched a move ever knows you can't stop a villain from getting the super powerful weapon to destroy the world. You can only defeat him afterward. That's not a good reason to stay home while he puts it together.

I agree with the rest of that assessment however.

You can't kill women, kids or a black person on TV, with a baseball bat, Killing a black person with a bat, is a no-no.....so that eliminates Maggie, Sasha, Carl, Michonne and Rosita. God I hope it aint Rosita....So with Rick being the star of the show, he is safe. So that leaves Glenn, Daryl, Abe, Eugene.... Eugene is the safe choice,
Daryl is eye candy for the lady viewers.....could be Abe, but my guess is Glen, one of the originals from the pilot, and escaped death a few times....its Glen
Glen

I don't think it is Daryl. He said on the talking dead that he didn't think Daryl would give up until he got revenge on Dwight. Doesn't that just seem to say there is more Daryl and Dwight drama ahead?

No....

I don't see why you can't kill blacks with baseball bats. Women yes, but blacks I don't buy it. Personally given how this show goes I'm fucking over the moon that Morgan is safely away. Cus him and the Priest. . .shit can't both be alive.

At this stage the only one I'm actually emotionally invested in anymore is Glenn and that's because he's the ONLY ASIAN I HAVE EVER SEEN on this show. Like what Zombie america just has no Asians? Did they all go underground?

It's not zombie America, it's Zombie deep South. Assuming you count Fear the Walking Dead and PAcific Islander a MAIN character (Read: Damn near unkillable) is an Asian.

I think Lucille lacked some old blood stains on her. Maybe a little brain matter caught in the barbs. A little rust going on.

Yes its true. He's been going back and fourth with the flyers twitter. Its pretty funny.

I just looked it up, both of them have a nice sense of humor over the whole thing.
I did like Philly saying they needed an intern in case he had any spare time coming up soon.

They're outside of Washington DC.....trust me, there should be more Asians represented...Asian zombies even

there have been some important lessons
as of late.

You may want to
or think you are ready to
run with the big dogs.

sure as hell
just as soon as you do
someone comes along

and shoots you through
the back of the head
with an arrow.

If theres anything I learned from the comic books, its that Negan respects women. Thats why they dont make up his army. He doesnt want them dying for him. In the books he kills anyone he catches raping or abusing a woman. No trial. No exile. Straight death. Its not a woman. So who does that leave us?

Daryl. Abraham. Eugene. Aaron. Glenn.

It's not daryl. Not only is he a fan favorite, getting shot was a big clue. Why have him shot just to kill him in the next episode? Nope. That bullet wound is there to cause trouble next season. Which means he's out of the running. Now, lets look at who else is on the plate and why.

The producers want to give you a reason to really HATE negan. Eventually, Carl goes off and tries to take him out on his own (stupid) and he wouldnt do that unless he had a reason. In the comic books its because Negan killed someone close to him. Glenn.

It also has to have that big impact on the veiwers. He was about to be a father. Hes been there almost from the get go. The only other people left from the begining are Carol, Daryl, Carl and Rick. Carol's not there, and its not Rick. "If anyone moves carve the kids eye out and feed it to the father." so 100% not rick or carl.

I forsee next season being mostly and or entirely composed of getting carl back after he goes renegade. And getting to meet King Ezekiel and The kingdom, who are the people with the horses who picked up Carol and Morgan. So pysched for that.

The only reason I think Daryl is still in the running is because killing him would have maximum impact and minimum consequence.

And Norman Reedus can (at least for the next year or two) write his own goddamn check. People were flipping out to buy a game called Silent Hills because he showed up at the very last second of a trailer FFS. So he makes a good choice.

But yeah all your facts line up, plus what we know from the comics.
