The Walking Dead

This episode just gave me the feeling that Carol seems 'done'. Like she'll sacrifice herself. I don't read the comics or know any inside info, simply intuition.

She's my favorite female character, so that's kind of a bummer.

Carol was 'done' last season and really died because that jackass woman beater didn't die until the last scene of the last episode. Her surviving THIS season is wholly dependent on Glenn/Maggie. Cus I think when one dies the other dies and I can't see them offing 3 mains in a single season.

I've heard spoilers from the comics and I think they are here but regardless it is time to kill someone major and I keep thinking it'll shift to Carl and the show just keeps refusing. And my reasoning remains the same. The timeline is starting to fuzzy up again (this episode mentions it's been a few weeks between now and the season premier but we're still likely talking less than 2 years. At some point either Carl dies OR they simply have a very satisfied Rick crawl out of Michonne and and this happens.

Rick: Absolutely nothing happened these last five years.
Michonne: Well your daughter grew her first teeth, learned to walk, talk, read and is now losing her baby teeth.
Rick: Absolutely nothing.
Director: Goddamnit, now we have to explain how this little girl keeps getting years bigger over weeks or months. . .I hate kids so goddamn much in this series! *Puts gun to head and pulls trigger* Who the fuck replaced by suicide gun with a prop?

The whole arrow in the eye scene was pretty cool. Carol's end was kind of anticlimactic, I think she's not done.

Got an awful feeling they are going to kill her off. I bloody hope not. Her or Michonne by Negan in the last ep is my call.

I could not fucking make out what it was! Yeah the doc scene was well done.

Did you see the extra preview on Talking Dead? With the rosary and dripping blood?

I never watch the Talking Dead. Doubly after they attempted to use it as bait to trick me into watching 'Into the Badlands' which wasn't bad mind you but c'mon. You put the Talking Dead AFTER it so I have to stick around? Eat an entire zoo of dicks.

Also "You know how to bite a dick. I mean that with all respect." That might be the greatest line in television history.

Daryl doesn't know how to drive a stick? Puhleeze. Pulled me out of the show, that scene.

Why would Daryl know how to drive a stick? And it's implied by Denise that it's a finnicky piece of shit truck not a smoothly operating one.

Simply stereotype in my viewpoint. He's a redneck and can put together his own bike from scratch, he should be handy with mechanics. Of anyone on the cast, I'd have thought Daryl could drive a truck that grinds.

Fair enough. I missed him building the bike from scratch. I assumed like all the other vehichles that he'd found it. I also don't recall anything in particular showing him to be truly great mechanically. Dale was the one doing the work early on. I'm sure Daryl is comfy and all.

Still fair enough. Narratively it was about showing Denise is something more than someone who can kinda sorta be a doctor if you give her all the books.

I think it was someone's garage in Alexandria when he first discovered the place that he found a bunch of bike parts. It was at this time that he got to know the one guy, I can't remember his name, the gay guy. Were they locked in the garage for some reason? I can't remember.

Yes, it was to show that Denise was much more than she seems, but they really should have put Rosita in the drivers seat and said she doesn't know how to drive a shitty truck, because she has not shown she is handy in various ways.

Well, I guess I am assuming that since he rides a motorcycle he's familiar with gears and clutches, not to mention all the other trucks he's driven over the seasons.

I am starting to hate that they kill off people on a regular basis. I once thought it was unique and kept the show fresh by brining in new characters. But now, I wish they had a moratorium on killing off characters....so bummed the doctor is gone

I was wondering why they even took that truck? There had to be others that didnt have a stick...

I just hate the "immortals". You can't claim that this is a show where anybody can die and then have a group of people we know good and damn well can't die.
