The Walking Dead

Wait a fucking second...

Beating off into s woman's bathtub while she is at the market is hot??

And to think. That shit earned me a restraining order.

Still watching the best show on television. . .okay second or third but easily in the top 10.

What a clusterfuck. Please take the off season to figure out how to tell a semi-coherent story.

There is a sequence of events that arent always related to each other, therefore, not a typical plot, but there is a storyline. A Group of characters are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse....and they meet interesting people along the way....however, I'm guessing like being on the show Survivor, sex in this new world has basicly disapeared and they might have killed off a lesbian gal, the acting doctor, dashing my hopes for some action.....

I would have at least put a sack over that snot nosed kid head. Mommie indeed.

And the show isn't incoherent in the least. The only problem with the show at all that way is that the plot follows the characters to an almost baffling degree with no time skips despite how simple that would be. Kill the baby and or Carl fast forward three years and start again. Holy shit. Not that tough people.

My theory on the upcoming lesbian action is this. Abe is dumping his hottie Rosita for Sasha, remember his comment about taking care of business or something a couple episodes ago? I can't remember exactly how he said it but it sure led me to believe he was going to be switching up his love life.

Next, in the last episode? I swear Tara and Rosita had a moment. Tara has always crushed hard on Rosita.

Tara has the hots for any woman.....apparently. Cant blame her really....

Well all do. I think the closest thing to a compliment I can give it is perhaps they don't want us to think about it as two seasons kinda glued together like S4 and S5 were. They want more like S2 and to a lesser extent S3. Just one big show.

Still BAD FORM. They should have dragged Glenn out if this was their plan. Just some minor bumping of scenes between the last two episodes would have made for a much better finale.

I expect more from. Finale. Dangit!

As finals go, for me, they make you yearn for more.....so in that respect, i'm in. I thought it was good but you know, they don't do those Grand Finales anymore, like Who Shot JR......I think a lot of that has to do with ya never know if the executives are going to cancel your show or not....there won't be no next season, it happens but probably not with this show. They don't usualy give you that cliff-hanger, its one big story, season after season. IMO.

Except this was a mid season finale not a finale. TWG is on season 6 in order.

S1: Six episodes, no Mid Season anything.
S2: Mid Season finale was opening the barn, finding Sophie, Shane learning Lori was pregnant (possibly with his kid) setting the stage for the second half.
S3: Mid Season Finale sickness outbreak
S4: The prison is destroyed, baby possibly dead, group split up
S5: Death of Beth, regathering of the survivors

So yes they do still do big mid seasons more often than not. That's what makes this stand out.

As for not knowing if the executive are going to cancel you I'm pretty sure the Walking Dead like damn near every show out of it's first season has multiple seasons already signed. The only way they are getting canceled is if they do SO poorly that AMC would rather break contract and eat the money than let them linger.

Nearly every major show out there does a big mid season finale these days almost to the point (especially with The Walking Dead) of them often feeling more like two seasons loosely associated with each other than one season. Season 4 is basically split between the last hurrah of the Governor as Act I and Act II is the trek to Terminus. Season 5 is split fairly equally between the journey to DC/Battle with the Termites and settling into Alexandria arcs. Season 6 appears to be split between "oops walker herd!" and the Governor 2.0 bigger, badder, meaner. Only the finale didn't leave me wanting more. Not that I won't watch when it comes back but it's not on my HURRY UP list. Flash needs to be back. . in a flash! Arrow needs to get back. The Walking Dead can chill until June if it gives them time to get shit right.

TWD has been AMC's #1 show for years, even higher numbers than Mad Men, and the networks policy has been to milk every last cent it can from it. Cue the War On Darabont, S2 at The Farm, and the bland malaise the show has been in since the end of S1.

Heh the Talking Dead aftershow and following all the inner politics has been more entertaining to me than the actual show for awhile. That and the face taffy practical effects :D

Good interview & AMC's general attitude to Darabont and "that zombie show"

The S3 midseason finale was the invasion of Woodbury: Maggie and Glenn rescued, Michonne discovering the Governor's daughter and then maiming the Governor, etc. The sickness outbreak was the first episode of S4.

I know the comics people are excited about this latest character, but I'm very skeptical that this isn't something I haven't seen before.

Your correct on S3 and the sickness. That's my bust.

Negan from what I can gather is just bigger meaner crazier governor without the redeeming features. So yeah prolly.

Season 5 seems to have taken a turn for the better, blatant lifts from Cormac McCarthy and all. A little of the genuine dread that made the first seasons so haunting and was lost with the onset of the goofy "Governor" character.

Its not just canceling the show, its keeping their writers intact, the producers, intact and the actors, intact. We all saw Seinfeld dip a little when Larry David left. My point was, its a different day in Hollywood, the S4 Final was probably the best of the bunch, Mid season or not. I guess the bar was set with Who Shot JR, that that riveted A nation and you couldnt wait for the next season, but again, different time.....

Seinfeld, lil bit before my time. Certain as far as having any clue as to behind the scenes stuff so I'll simply take your word on that part.

It is a different day in Hollywood, and I HATE shows that do cliffhanger season finales. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE. But that new day didn't start last year. This was just odd and it's not liek the rest of the TV world didn't stick to the script.

Dear Carl,
I think you've gotten a little confused. See this is a zombie apocalypse yet you seem to catch bullets. Like a lot. I admit you were kinda dumb for trying to touch a deer but the correct punishment for trying to touch a wild animal is getting fucked up said animal (trust me even fluffy bunnies are mean if they they think they can't escape) not getting shot by a yokel shooting at some food. Something something crude.

Really that girl wasn't worth getting shot over. Now that your Dad is with a hot blond you should shout at Michonne. Not cus she's a hottie but because when I'm in a zombie apocalypse has katana will travel is pretty big.

Also tell your father is epically failed at getting anybody killed once he tried to get everybody killed. Maybe suicidal stupidity gives you plot armor?
