The Walking Dead

For the location of the cabin, it would have been in GA, not near Alexandria, since he saw signs for Terminus after he left.

How far out is Alexandria, I admit I don't have a working map in my head but I thin kthey've covered a LOT less ground than your thinking they did. At least from what I can see in flashbacks Morgan hasn't driven in quite some time.

It's Alexandria, VA. They got there because DC was their original destination until they found out the whole cure story was bullshit.

Thank you. That. . .seems like a LOT of ground to have covered on foot in a relatively short period of time. Of course that depends on where precisely in VA Alexandria actually is but. . .that seems like a lot of ground.

They're on this beat the viewer over the head mission about it's not enough to just merely survive at the cost of losing all humanity. I get that.

It's about 600 miles from Atlanta to Alexandria. The amount of time in the show is vague but they do hint that it's been a while. You could walk 600 miles in a couple months.

It's just outside of DC.

The time line as we've discussed is a bit vague but all the hints suggest we're talking about less than 2 years.

S3 Midpoint: Lori gives birth to a baby that is equally likely to be Shane's or Ricks. =9 months pretty much exactly.

The rest of S3 could be a months but seems more like weeks.

The entire trip to Terminus couldn't have been more than a few weeks at most. So that's S4

S5 doesn't appear to be that long either.

As for traveling under fair conditions two months for 600 miles is doable if unlikely for the groups we've seen. Somehow I don't see Eugene pulling 10m everyday.

Morgan doesn't appear to have a vehicle, so the others having driven is immaterial to my point at the moment.

Atlanta to DC takes about 9 hours ....

Apparently Steven Yeun's name was dropped from the opening credits.

Is he dead or are they just experts at fucking with fans?

Neither did the others when they were walking from Terminus. I can't remember if they arrived at Alexandria in one or not.
Morgan could certainly have done what they did, a combination of walking and driving.

The main group seemed to have vehicles whenever it's nice.

However thank you again for the location of Alexandria. We really dont need to tax our brains figuring out how fast a a swallow flies to make a guess where the location is if we know. I just assumed it was a made up location and could have been pretty much anywhere roughly in the direction of DC from Atlanta not that it is findable on a map.

They should drag out the Glenn heartbreak and make him into a walker. We haven't seen a main character as one since Meryl.

African Swallow or European Swallow?

Yeah, the gap between Seasons 2 and 3 took several months -- long enough to account for Lori's pregnancy to progress, and for the group cast out of the farm to become very efficient at scavenging and killing walkers.

And while they were less clear about it, I always got the impression that several months passed between Seasons 3 and 4, since they were looking pretty settled at the prison, and had agriculture that suggested the passage of another winter had happened (there's a practical reason having to do with shooting during summers in Georgia that explains why we've never seen these people dealing with cold weather). The whole point of the way Season 4 began was that everyone including Rick had gotten a little complacent.

But it's been vague since then. Everything that's happened since the group arrived at Alexandria seems to have been in a very limited time span, and everything that's happened in these last four episodes (minus the flashbacks) appears to have taken place on the same day.

They really need to just kill off Karl so his age discrepancy isn't such a mind fuck, aside from all the really stupid stuff he's done than should have gotten him killed anyway.

I'm just a little ashamed I forgot the follow up line.

Like I said vague. It's possible you're correct about the gap between 3 and 4. I always assumed that they would take the two seconds out to mention winter if happened. Michonne says soemthing along the lines of "who got you through the winter" during S3 and the only use for the line was to give us a solid established time line so I took the lack of another as a sign.

Rick was complacent at that point, I actually like that because it's realistic. If you pay attention there are lots of scenes where they are clearly ignoring walkers. Almost to the point that I expect to see someone casually dispatch one someday.

And yeah. S6 thus far seems to be far less than a single day. E1 was jumping around so it's hard to sync up, but E2 is EXACTLY an hour. It takes place in real time. We know because Carol puts on a (cassarole?) meal at the beginning of the episode and Carl pulls it out right after the timer goes off. E3 seems to be overlapping that for the most part starting just after that halfway mark. And E4 is mostly flashback but the sun is still up and we have no reason to believe that's a new day entirely.

We very well may hit the mid season finale over the course of seven days or less if they keep up this pace.

They really need to just kill off Karl so his age discrepancy isn't such a mind fuck, aside from all the really stupid stuff he's done than should have gotten him killed anyway.

Karl is no stupider than the adults! RAWR.

But yeah, he really should have gotten killed at the finale of S2 because it's not his fault. Puberty happens. If you want to do a show where kids stay kids indefinitely you do a goddamn cartoon and you get a woman to voice your little boys! It ain't that difficult.

And it wouldn't be so jarring if the show didn't do a relatively good job in every other way of showing the passage of time. Drives me fucking nuts. For a long time I figured they'd kill Carl and give the remainder of Carls major high notes to Glenn. With Glenn (presumably and hopefully) quite dead that. . .makes you wonder who gets those hits. Cus while the show doesn't "follow" the comic it still does in kinda broad strokes. You know like a remake.

Monty Python is timeless.

But I can see how you might not have seen it as pretending to be a woman on the internet is very time consuming.

Pretending to be a comedian on the internet with a 1970's shtick isn't something to celebrate.

Now is it?

KRC?

Except I'm not trying to be a comedian.

Just another one of your failed attempt to insult me.

Have you met your quota for new and uninteresting threads today?
