When I was watching I was thinking of fire. Zombies burn pretty well so just get some gas or something, drench a bunch of them and light a match. Sure it'll smell bad for a few months but hey.

In order of relevance to the current situation.

1.Beth and Daryle accidentally lit a bunch of fire. It created charred zombies not dead ones.

2. The guy in the Gun store tried that in 2004's Dawn of the Dead. It resulted in zombies that smelled like pork and made him hungry. Not dead zombies.

3. Humans are 70% water. We don't burn well at all.

4. Zombies have been shown rotted down to nearly the bone, to the point where you start to wonder where the muscle even is that's moving them. If you didn't incinerate a zombie you probably didn't get the job done.

5. Even ignoring that gas isn't stable and by this point (roughly 2 years by most people's count) since the outbreak and thus most of the gas should be gone. Gas is still way to rare and to precious to waste liek that even if it would work. And even under good conditions where bringing in tankers was plausible that's a LOT of zombies and would a huge undertaking IRL right now with infrastructure. It's near impossible for them even if it wasn't a huge waste.

I chalk the gas up to a combination of the writers not knowing and most viewers not knowing either. I mean who actually keeps gas around long enough for it to go bad? So I give them a pass there. As for how the bone muscle loss thing works I assume 'x' amount of magic is in play here and as long as they are consistent about what works and doesn't it's not really worth bringing up save to point out why something wouldn't work. In this case it's been shown enough that if the body is all connected to the head the body will work reasonably well. I wouldn't trust anything shy of actual muscleless bone to be incapable of moving. Besides as we've learned several times the zombies that can't move are pretty dangerous just because people start ignoring them.

It still takes a LONG time for us to become particularly flammable and these zombies are still shown bleeding and being "wet" in general. And again Daryl and Beth set someone fire accidentally.

First Spontaneous Human Combustion is a myth not a real thing. The Wick Effect is a possible explanation for how what LOOKS like SHC could be explained. Though for this purpose that's just fine. As for humans making great candles the only experiments I can find were done with pigs, that said sure under ideal circumstances it could work.

100 degrees for 15 minutes will kill a human? I'm curious how EXACTLY this is meant. I know from personal experience that a temprature of 100 degrees isn't fatal. Shit 103 isn't fatal at least in the short term.

Again we've had zombies on fire so clearly being on fire for at least long enough to char the entire body isn't enough to get to whatever point the brain counts as "destroyed" in this universe.

That's the power of the plot. I think Terminus is the only place where the plot decided it was okay to carry on without Rick having arrived. Everywhere else just kinda managed and will continue because. . .otherwise the story would get really wonky.

For the record it's not there's no way we could have anticipated this so much as they lucked into a spot with no serious herds to deal with and got used to the idea that they come in relatively small and easily dealt with numbers. It's certainly no worse than Rick in Season 3 going outside the fence without his gun. People in real life do really stupid things once they get used to the concept that they won't be hurt doing this that or the other.

I hated that Winnebago with a passion. And yes, if Shane were still around things would be so much better. Shane was a few years ahead of the game. They'd probably still be chillaxing on Hershels farm if they'd done the right thing, shot Herhel in the face explained to his daughters they could stay or leave nobody cares but no walkers in the fucking barn, no strangers come back to camp without thorough interviews.

It's again the same thing that allows Daryl to use walker heads as blunt weapons and not die. Oh and be surrounded beyond all hope of rescue and survive it.

If I recall properly Glamdrig only glows for orcs (which Tolkien was notoriously unclear on what an orc is. He seems to use Orc, Goblin and occasionally Oruk-hai (however it's spelled) somewhat interchangibly. Especially orc and goblin. The Oruks were cross bred with humans and should have been distinct but. . .Tolkien kinda did what he wanted and I guess that's the advantage of being one of the originators of the modern fantasy.
