The Walking Dead

I believe Daryl was pulling Beth from the bushes at the end of last week's, so they must cross paths somehow.

Was that Carol at the very end? It was similar to Jeff Bridges' unrecognizable face at the end of Jagged Edge. If so, the timeline is bendy.

How does Carol get from there to Terminus? Guess we'll find out. Not the most avid fan of non-linear timelines.

I think it's the other way around. I think that is Carol somehow ending up with them after Daryl and she follow the car.

The cars in the hospital parking lot all had crosses in the rear windows. The car Daryl went after had a cross in the back window. So, this episode has to predate Carol and Daryl chasing the car. The two women must have escaped either separately, or split up for some reason.

I'm having trouble with the timeline. I wasn't expecting the Beth story to span episodes.

I was confused about that too. How much time had elapsed since Beth was originally snatched up by the Deathmobile? If we assume she woke up in the hospital the morning after she was grabbed (which seems logical since she wasn't injured that we could tell), that means she was there throughout the entire time Daryl was with the rape gang/Carol was on the run with Tyreese and crazy Lizzie/Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie etc were all making their way to Terminus, and everything that happened after they were shoved into the boxcar? The episode seemed to take place over a few days at most.

The writers seem to be focusing on how different groups have managed to survive.

I don't understand why that would predate Carol and Daryl chasing the car? Daryl saw the car that took Beth originally so when he saw it again they chased it.

The real trouble I'm having with it is the timing. Maybe Carol does get there and escape on her own. But wouldn't it be weird for her to not mention having seen Beth to anyone?

Yeah, exactly. They better not fuck it up.

I have not read the comics and from what I understand there is some divergence. That said I fully expect Daryl to be leading a pack of pregnant women back to camp.

Weren't they all in Atlanta before? When Daryl's brother cut off his hand? It was wall-to-wall zombie.

There's some speculation that Daryl and Carol followed the car to Atlanta and bumped into the escapee Noah, who told them what was going on with the cars and also about his new friend Beth...after which they had to devise a plan to get Carol in there (she would be even more underestimated than Beth was) so she could bust both of them out. And what we saw at the end of last week was Daryl getting ready to introduce Noah (not Beth) to Michonne.

But it's hard to believe Daryl would have just left Carol behind like that, so I'm not sure I buy it. But I don't have any good ideas myself.

Yeah I also doubt there is any way Daryl leaves Carol. So it's either going to be a procession of people with him.. or something terrible.

They were. But then was that before or after the bombing! The timeline of Walking Dead leaves a lot to be desired.

BTW, this isn't a spoiler because I don't know anything, but Noah was played by Tyler James Williams. He's a pretty big name to be called upon for just one episode (he starred in Everybody Hates Chris when he was a kid), so I would be real surprised if he never pops up again.

Apparently during a zombie apocalypse fire engines become magical and their deck nozzles have pressure even without the engine running.

corpses are rising up and eating people... but a functional firetruck is too far a stretch of the imagination
