Seems to me that Daryl and Beth saw walkers coming towards the house as it burned. Walkers probably walked right into the fire because they are idiots.

More accurately they said that because of zombie rot they are mostly blind and light and movement are about the only things they actually can see. So as long as they weren't fresh zombies you might be able to play that Jurassic Park bullshit and just hold really still, and strobe lights with bombs attached would probably clear out zombies from entire zones.

Last nights episode was one of the better ones to me. Cleaned up a few open items from the prison. Carole spilled the fact that she killed the people. Two kids were killed for no real reason other then to show how fucked up we could all get if this shit went down in real life.
