The Walking Dead

CRAP:confused:

Hope I didn't spoil anything.

I got some friends into WD a few weeks ago. Loaned them my Season 1 and 2 DVD sets. They watched all of the episodes in one week, and caught up with Season 3 last week off Comcast InDemand:D

double crap....sorry

The prison group doesn't seem to do anything to secure their position, or get that land ready for crops, but they have mentioned scavenging. That food from the cafeteria isn't going to last forever.

Plus, I thought they were low on ammo, but managed to find weapons to shoot it out in Woodbury.

The Woodbury residents don't seem to be doing much either, just walking around, with that many people, they need to be working for food, and such.

I had to avoid this thread for a week because I had to tivo the last two episodes and just tonight finally caught up with them. Holy shit. Great fucking season so far. Between the second half of this one and the second and final half of Breaking Bads season I may have some sort of religious experience.

In a weird kind of way I like creepy prison guy. He amuses me so far. I'm interested to see how they use Tyrese. I've never read the comics but I read about them and he's an important and strong character. I hope they follow that. The show needs another Daryl.

I love how Daryl's character has evolved and grown this season. He's now someone you'd want to have your back. I'd like to see him and Carol finally hook up.

I'm guessing Mishone (sp?) went back to the govenors to kill him because of the rape. (which hasn't been discovered yet) She's always quiet and introverted. I figure in the coming episodes they'll show and or imply what had transpired more.

Andrea may be a strong character to a point, but she lets her pride and desire for certain men cloud her judgement. Almost killing Daryl on the farm but shooting other dude instead. Getting caught up in whacked out Shane's antics, then turning to and siding with strangers over Mishone, (sp?)
after everything they had been through in the past year? WTF?

I thought he was hilarious in the last episode. That was a well-placed bit of comic relief.

I could see one movie/show about them, but an ongoing series, I mean they're dead.
Robotics on the other hand.

10.5 Million viewers for the last episode, pretty good for a cable show

welcome to Crazy Town

population: Rick

The show really grinds to a halt when he's wandering around talking to ghosts. In the real world, if we can speak of such a thing in an environment where reanimated corpses are on the rampage, he would have been deposed of his leadership position by now.

It's not surprising that people would be going insane in such a world, but the Governor's version of insanity is more entertaining. It involves severed heads and zombie gladiators.

And not to get all feminist on everyone, but why is everyone in the prison just assuming that their "leader" has to be a guy? If it's not Rick or Daryl, it has to be Glenn? Carol is older than Glenn and seems pretty competent.

Last night pissed me off. I thought I was watching an old A Team episode. They consistently nail zombies in the head with pistols at 50 yards but can't hit 4 guys firing in the open, with M4s, at 150 yards!? Fuck me...

The zombies aren't shooting back. Getting shot at will just plain rattle most folks...

Ya gotta look at the women in that prison to get your answer

Carol?... she spent years in an abusive marriage where you never talked to a man.. she's growing a spine, but that kind of abuse is bone deep

Maggie? Her sister?... they both come from a patriarchal family, Herschel is the boss, they are not going to tell their dad what to do

that leaves Michonne... and she's fucking crazy

Andrea on the other hand, shows definite leadership qualities.. unfortunately, she's on the wrong team

it's not a matter of feminism.. it's a matter of qualifications.. Rick was a sheriff.. automatic authority figure... it just kinda sticks after awhile untill it becomes behavioural

I should just not watch the show anymore and wait for it to be on netflix.

It's better that way. I watched all episodes of Lost in 2 months and never caught an episode on TV.
