The Walking Dead

Loving season 2

Has anyone noticed that their operational security is very sloppy?

They're always walking into a tight spot like the pharmacy or bar without leaving a lookout on the street.

They do tend to bunch up....someone needs to teach those motherfuckers the flying wedge.

As long as there are no former marines they should be able to understand it without and friendly fire........

I was never in the service and even I know that you don't walk through the bush all clumped up like that, just from reading books about Viet Nam.

There's one scene where Glenn and BJ Lips girl are in the pharmacy with their backs turned to the street. If I was the director, I would have had a walker shuffle by in that scene, down the street, visible to the audience but not the characters, just as a reminder that you can never let your guard down.

Damn, couldnt stand watching dude chopping off the old mans leg after he was bit. You think that will save him or is he a gonner? Cant wait till next weeks episode.

Think they will save them. probably a play on Rick losing his hands in the comic....

I've just finished Seasons 1 & 2 on catch-up here, after avoiding this show for ages cos I thought it looked utter shite. I really loved it.

Daryl is fab. Lori annoys me. The kid needs killing, the annoying little cunt. I think I will miss Shane's character, he was the most interesting.

The new season starts over here on the 19th (I think) and I see David Morrissey is in it, never been a huge fan of him in the Brit stuff he's been in, hopefully he'll be okay in this though.

It's going to be murder waiting a week between episodes.

He was quite a bit different in the first episode.

The most interesting thing about that episode was the decision (I think a sound one) to jump in time several months. Part of that was practical because the actor who plays Carl is visibly older, but it also gave let the viewers see instantly how much the group has changed. They're quite effective now when it comes to putting down the walkers, but they're also desperate (hungry and apparently surrounded) in a way they hadn't been to this point.

Since I don't follow the comic, the development in the final few seconds of the premiere came as a shock. I wonder what the hell is up with that?

I follwed the comics religously for years, so I did expect the convicts; I just didnt think it would be so last minute.

And in the comics there were 4 of them, so they've already changed that dynamic by adding a fifth.

I also like them having gone through a season on the road, but I think it was more for the practical reason you mentioned than for creative reasons, and they just wrote around it
