The Walking Dead

Oh, and here's a great interview w/ Jon Bernthal aka Shane

http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/03/11/jon-bernthal-shane-walking-dead-shocker/

Why Ralph (Howard's geekboytoy) got him to appear on GeekTime that airs tomorrow on Sirius 101 but Howard went with another Whitney Cumming's interview is beyond me.

Howard probably, just goes with who is on the schedule or he thought Whitney was a better interview, I doubt Howard yearns to get so and so on his show these days, he only works 3 days a week, if that....

Every so often I say, gotta get rid of this sirius radio.....but ya know, 3 days is better than nothing

Was Carl going to shoot Rick? Before he saw Shane getting up?

I don't think so. I think from his vantage point he noticed Shane twitching almost immediately. The bigger question is why he didn't say anything. Granted the angle doesn't really show us how close to Rick Carl was actually shooting but I can tell you that as a Marine who's been around hundreds of trained marksmen that the number of people I'd trust to shoot over my shoulder and hit something or hell successfuly miss me is very very limited. A ten year old kid, fuck that noise.

Maybe. Not sure of the amount of light available at that time of evening or the child's night vision either. It's television after all. And why isn't that kid on a shorter leash?

Because he lives in a zombie apocalypse and everybody is too busy and frankly he hasn't really done anything half as bad as people try to make out that he's done. The adults are making all the really bad decisions.

Rick bringing Randal to the farm and Herschel defending a barn full of walkers was easily a hundred times worse than Carl playing with a Zombie or following the two men he trusts more than anybody else.

Fantastic luck plus the fact that Rick is an immortal. It's not like its any less surprising that Jack Bauer managed to survive.

Don't. Even. Start with Jack.

Just written with a prejudice towards their survival.

If this virus is airborn, isnt eveyone going to get it at some point?

Why can't I start on Jack? He's literally been killed twice and brought back that's how bad ass he is.

As for the virus being airborne my assumption is that everybody has the virus but everybody who's still standing is sufficiently bad ass that the virus can't kill them the way it must have killed a lot of other people.

I think the virus mutated now affecting people not infected, once they die.

It did look like Carl was going to shoot Rick but I agree with the above, he probably overheard the argument and also saw Shane twitch or something.

We don't know that it wasn't effecting them before. If it wasn't air born it must have been waterborne or fleas or something. No other explaination makes sense for how the military got overrun. No amount whatsoever of unarmed zombies over throws a military with Humm V mounted .50 cal machine guns. It's literally impossible. Hell as we learned in WW2 and other various battles in Africa that no amount of inteligent armed with spears people can take down an modern army.

However if you change it up and imagine that the military especially before they figured out what was going on could very well have found themselves sandwiched between the zombies rising in the hospital not from bites but from heart attacks and the ones in front it makes more sense. When you realize that a stray bullet that kills one of your own can create a zombie literally in the middle of your formation it makes sense.

Shane is the first person (we've seen) die of "non zombie" causes thus far but it's possible that this was always what was happening.

I thought it had to do with them cutting their hand to attract them to the fence, then re-applying blood to get more to them to stab them in the head.

There is a The Walking Dead marathon on amc today. I am watching it, I want to see what everyone thinks is such a big deal.

Note: Never try to eat during The Walking Dead.

At the very end of the episode...what was that last screen shot of? I couldn't make it out.

personally , I liked the finale...especially the bit with Andrea at the end, it introduced one of my favourite characters in the series

That was the prison which I alluded to earlier.. note the guard towers and all that

I don't remember that post...I'll look for it.

And thanks...I thought it was a structure, but I couldn't make out any details.

The hooded person...this is our first intro? This isn't a character we've already "met?"
