The Walking Dead

Shane and Lori was a messed up situation, but understandable. Shane was taking care of Lori and Carl, probably out of obligation at first, but then clearly love. Shane became too much of a threat, though, which was sad as he had strong survival skills.

I always got the sense that Shane and Lori were having an affair before the apocalypse.

This is where my thinking goes always. It is NOT okay to stick your dick into you best friends wife. Ever. Even if he's dead. Especially if he's only been dead a matter of days. And especially when you don't know for a fact that he's dead when you just assume he is dead because you were to much of a pussy to go and check on your best friend sick in the hospital.

I'm wondering why they never have any threats of major disasters. Tornadoes, floods, etc.

I think it would be cool to see Zombienado.

I still would have put a bullet in him before he could do it to me.

Oh hell yeah. But I like living.

At the very least they were close enough that mutual respect for Rick was what was keeping them apart.

No, he knew for a fact Rick was dead and only plot armor saved him. He DID check on him, as the military was doing what they should have done earlier and cleaning up. Shane did everything 100% right and got fucked for anyway. Even Lori admits that if he'd told the "technical" truth of "I closed the door to his room so hopefully no zombies get in and no military put him down like they should so there is a very small chance he might have somehow made it" that she would have stayed in the city and gotten them all killed.

Z Nation. Its super cheesy but actually pretty awesome. Also Z-nado.

Shane wasn't all bad. He was great when he gave Carol's cunt of a husband a right good leathering.

Shane was pure unadulterated awesome. Not that Carol's hubby didn't deserve a beat down but Shane beating him was just him blowing off steam. Which us awesome people have to do occasionally or else we inflate.

How is Shane a sympathetic character?
1. HE FUCKED HIS BEST FREINDS WIFE.
2. He Did not pull his friend out of a zombie infested hospital when he had the chance.
3. He tried in inject himself into the role of Carl's daddy even after Rick returned.
4. He assaulted the woman he claimed to love when her husband returned from the "I'm pretty sure he's dead" and she decided to keep her family intact.

Shane was a bushwacking cunt. Plain and simple.

Ha! Still would make for some offbeat camp.

I'm a rare one that I liked Shane, I thought he put righteous Rick in his place.

And Lori was a bitch.

1. His friend was dead and he clearly loved her and she him. The idea that you should deny yourself hapines over loyalty to a dead man is insane.
2. His friend would have died without life support. An argument could me made he should have pulled the plug and made certain his friend was dead instead of leaving him but not that he should have wheeled him out.
3. Debatable. I got the impression he was always "Uncle" Shane. Most of us have at least one friend of the family who counts as the kind of family as a kid you'd have expected to adopt you if it came to that and have as adults some kid who knows you aren't blood but you are family.
4. Agreed. He tried to rape Lori, well kinda. Assaulted is a strong word for what happened but still that was a cunt move. Not really one worthy of dying but still cunt move.

So your one for fucking four!

Loyalty is the only thing that seperates us from the animals.

You stop being "uncle Shane" when you covet your best friends wife. You then become a cunt trying to turn a man's son against him.

So if he wasn't a world class pussy he would have put a bullet in Rick's head in the hospital but was too much of a cunt to do it. And in the end he got everything he deserved.

And so did Lori.

Taking care of the loved ones of your friends is the peak of loyalty. We can debate his loyalty after Rick was revealed to be alive but no doubt at all can be thrown on his loyalty before that.

You do not stop being "uncle shane" pretty much ever and I've yet to see evidence that men and women are in the grand scheme of things capable of platonic friendship. Everybody has the exception that proves the rule but that's what it is. You either look at your friend's girl and know what you'd do if you had the chance or you view her as little more than an accessory. She's "Rick's Wife" not "Lori."

I probably would have put a bullet in my buddy in that situation. I mean regardless of how it worked out he wasn't really giving Rick a sporting chance (even if he didn't hear a heart beat and thought he was dead an ddidn't know that everybody rises yet) that is a quality point.

Really the villain of this piece is Lori. Which it seems most fans ultimately understood because while her death scene brought tears to our eyes we really wanted the cunt who broke up the heroes of the new world to die for her sins.

Yeah, neither one of you are in my Zombie Survival group. It's cool you two will live in Woodberry. My group, lead by me Shane will not be insane like the Rick group and we'll come to a better deal. IT could be worse, you two could be Termites.

I'm rewatching the series.

Shane just whupped Ed - he had it comin'. It was pretty savage, a kind of foreshadowing. It was also cuz he was pissed cuz Lori had just told him 5 minutes before to stay away from her and her family. It was misplaced anger.

Ed still needed the whuppin', and we needed for Ed to get it.

It was a fabulous beating. I'd like to do that to St Peter's giant sinister bollocks.

I miss Shane. I'm going to vibe you zillions of Shane pics spaceboy.

So why isn't Glenn working on a threesome with Maggie and Tara?

I could have sworn in the last episode the two women exchanged a look that indicated they would be into each other.

Even in a zombie apocalypse you need priorities.
