That the Obama administration is taking this posture on 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' is both ironic and hypocritical.

Gays and Lesbians tend to vote Democrat since the Dems' are infinitely more tolerant and understanding of the Gay/Lesbian lifestyle than Republicans, yet a Democrat/Liberal/Progressive administration is essentially turning it's back on them.

This suit is, in essence, being brought to the court by a Gay Republican organization of long standing.

Liberals/Democrats/Progressives are routinely in favor of allowing the courts to settle disputes within the electorate when it suits their agenda rather than letting the people or their representatives decide, thereby getting the results they want without the blame being directly attached to them.

Democrats/Liberals/Progressives, to put it in the words of Bill Clinton, 'loathe the military' or are deeply suspicious of it for various reasons, yet here's a like minded administration coming down on the side of the military.

You can't make this stuff up.
