'Panic Is Beginning' Over Polls |

The Morning Joe panel discusses if Hillary Clinton could take home a win in Texas, if Trump can do anything to reverse his fortunes in Wednesday's debate and why there is panic in GOP over internal numbers.

As the election day draws nearer, people start deciding who they will vote for, or against, The polls now are less undecided, and have coalesced into firm jello stages.
Red or Blue, Green, or Libertarian?

Repubs are watching the water in their scuppers and are bailing out. It's every congress critter for himself and Fuck Trump! The Republicans not controlling the budget in House is making the "Leadership: ( read: Donor Class) nervous. It appears likely they will loose the Senate control but the defeat may be so complete that they could lose filibuster proof 2/3ds leverage. :D

I can hear Bill Clinton saying, "I love it when a plan comes together." With a twinkle in his eye and his hand on a firm titty. Could a boy from Arkansas go to good schools on scholarships, meet the most influential people in the world, win the Presidency, going on to be renown for raising money for good causes and have his wife gone for 70% of the time. I'm sure Bill is doing better than GW, and Hillary is drawing in enough to cover her expenses and more. As long as the legal bills are in control, what's to worry?:D

Yet Hillary cant put Trump away, and he keeps getting up after the knockdowns. She's in trouble.

She's always in trouble. Trump could use some of her skills. Trained as a lawyer, skilled as a liar , and having a desire to exercise personal power, she has to be in trouble to make a wave in the culture.

Trump put Trump away. His business is falling apart, his daughter is pissed because he has damaged her brand and Trump Hotels are shifting the name to Scion Hotels and Resorts.

Women are turning against him, even those who might have supported a Donald if he wasn't SUCH an Asshole!

I know JB, even assholes deserve a break, but Trump is a punk not someone to aspire to emulate.

You will love this JB.

Oh, Like Republicans Would Ever Try To Suppress The Black Vote, Just Kidding!

How weird, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is having to take the Republican National Committee (RNC) to court to protect the integrity of the vote. SHOCKING, right? You see, the DNC has noticed all the rigamarole Donald J. Trump has been shouting at his supporters about #rigged elections, and about how they should all go to THOSE PLACES where THOSE PEOPLE vote, and just make sure they’re not voting too black-ly. Surprisingly, the DNC thinks this amounts to voter intimidation and suppression, and moreover says the RNC, in supporting this, is in violation of a 1982 consent decree that said Republicans need to knock that shit off:

The RNC is supporting Trump’s recruitment of so-called watchers at polling places, which is in breach of consent decrees going back to 1982 that forbid the group from engaging in ballot-security measures, according to a filing in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. The DNC said the watchers are really intended to deter registered voters from casting ballots. […]

“Trump has falsely and repeatedly told his supporters that the November 8 election will be ‘rigged’ based upon fabricated claims of voter fraud in ’certain areas,’ according to the filing. “Unsurprisingly, those ’certain areas’ are exclusively communities in which large minority voting populations reside.”

The GOP has lost the White House, since Trump is no longer their candidate.

Conrad Black is on the list .No surprise that a convicted liar, fraudster etc supports another liar etc .

The fact that the FBI is re opening its investigation of Hillary's missing e-mail letters seems to be hurting her in the polls.

Few Clinton supporters will vote for Trump because of this. A larger number are likely to decide not to vote for Hillary. They will think, "I have had it with that woman. Why can't she follow the rules like she is supposed to?"

I will still vote for Hillary. Nevertheless, I am disgusted with the way the Clinton's give the Clinton haters so many targets.

Monica Lewinsky took the initiative with Bill Clinton. Nevertheless, she took the initiative when Bill was already being investigated for his interaction with Paula Jones. He should have had the sense to leave Monica alone.

Hillary is not responsible for Bill's womanizing. Nevertheless, both of the Clinton's give evidence of the attitude that the rules do not apply to them.

John Kennedy had a similar attitude. Nevertheless, back then reporters did not pry into politicians' personal lives. Now they do.

Old Hillary supporters now say her election invites a Constitutional crisis.

Are you saying it is illegal for political parties to engage poll watchers to watch for fraud at precincts? I've always thought it was a common practice, done by all major parties. Voter fraud is usually more common in large cities with pokitical machines, and such cities are where a disproportionate number of minorities reside.

No Box, the Article is saying that Republicans "Watchers" at the polls may be an intimidation attempt. Also Voter Fraud is a very small problem, however Election Frauds are perpetrated by both parties all the fucking time, see Bush v Gore 2000, Ohio, Florida, California and New York in the primary and other places I have not the time to describe. That is how a machine addresses rigging an election not by individual votes but by wholesale tactics. Purging the rolls, jiggering the vote tallies and hacking the system.

Trump 41%

Clinton 38%

Equals panic? Wow, it's almost as if MSNBC has been bought & paid for. Lol or atleast leased.

Poll Date Sample MoE
Clinton (D) 45.4

Trump (R) 42.6

Johnson (L) 4.7

Stein (G) 2.1
Spread Clinton +2.8

RCP Average 10/20 - 10/30 -- --

In the aggregate HRC is still +2.8 up on Donny.

Pitiful as it seems she has a better edge in the critical states and will win the election. Donald is toast.

They may or not be there for the purpose of intimidation, but the Dems are worse. Legit poll watchers are perfectly alright.

Can the GOP match this case? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Black_Panther_Party_voter_intimidation_case

How do you know this person's race or party affiliation or when and where the pic was taken?
It's a posed photo for an article explaining how many states allow firearms at polling places.

It only takes one Republican with a gun at a polling place to be more intimidating than the New Black Panthers and their billy club.

The person in the pic could be of any race and any party. You can't tell from the photo. The person could be a Black Panther, for all you or I know.

Poll watchers are legal, even in FL: http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/29/politics/poll-watchers-monitors/index.html

There are some limitations, but they are legal.

But, as that link says, "The general idea behind poll watchers is that they help promote transparency and openness — not through their actions so much as by simply being in the room." There are strict limits on what they can do -- especially if they are Republicans, because since 1982 the GOP has been under a court order:

In 1982, after caging in predominantly African-American and Latino neighborhoods, the Republican National Committee and New Jersey Republican State Committee entered into a consent decree with their Democratic party counterparts. Under that decree and its 1987 successor, the Republican party organizations agreed to allow a federal court to review proposed “ballot security” programs, including any proposed voter caging.

The consent decree has been invoked several times, by the parties to the decree and by others. Most recently, in late 2008, the Democratic National Committee and Obama for America sought to enforce the consent decree, claiming that the Republican National Committee had not submitted alleged ballot security operations for review. After the election, the Republican National Committee asked the federal court to vacate or substantially modify the decree. The court denied the RNC's motion to vacate the consent decree and ordered the decree remain in effect until December 2017. The RNC then appealed to the Third Circuit, which unanimously rejected the appeal and affirmed the District Court's decision. The RNC subsequently petitioned for rehearing en banc.

And, just this week, a federal judge has ordered the RNC to disclose whatever plans it has to coordinate poll-watching schemes.

A federal judge has ordered the Republican National Committee to reveal any plans it has to coordinate poll-watching schemes after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump encouraged his supporters to be on the look out for voter fraud in heavily Democratic areas.

The Democratic National Committee asked a federal judge in New Jersey last week to block the RNC from supporting efforts — which would discourage minorities from voting — based on Trump’s baseless claims that the presidential election is “rigged.”

On the campaign trail, Trump has called for his supporters to “watch the polling booths” while speaking in Democratic-leaning locations like Philadelphia.

According to the DNC’s suit, Republicans are supporting Trump’s recruitment of so-called watchers at polling places, violating a 34-year-old court order that bars the RNC from using “voter fraud” as an excuse to suppress votes. Ironically, the RNC is only a year away from being freed of the 1982 consent decree that requires judicial oversight over its poll-watching activities.

That followed a 1981 voter suppression campaign in New Jersey lead by Roger Stone — longtime advisor to the Trump campaign.

Federal lawsuits filed in four states Monday by Democratic officials also allege that Stone’s pro-Trump voter intimidation group Stop the Steal/Vote Protectors — which is recruiting right-wing volunteers to conduct unscientific “exit polls” outside swing state precincts — could violate both the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which outlawed discriminatory voting practices in the South; and the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, which outlawed intimidation against African American voters.

Stone’s group has recruited volunteers to conduct “exit polls” of voters in nine cities in battleground states with large nonwhite populations: Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Detroit; Charlotte and Fayetteville, North Carolina; Las Vegas; Cleveland; Philadelphia; Richmond, Virginia; and Milwaukee.
