I think I have begun to grow up.

I am sick. I have a headache a sore throat and a bit of a tummy ache. Im grouchy and kind of whiney. I would love to just curl up in bed for a whole day and do nothing.

But I am going to work. Because it is important to me that I make my 40 hours a week. I need the money and I need to do well at my job.

This is odd coming from the girl who has taken more days off due to sniffles....

When did this happen ????

Welcome to the world of adulthood. While I have just reentered the work force I am very familiar with the going to work sick. You see I have 4 children and at no point or time is mom allowed to get sick, sleep in late, think the bump in the night was just a bump and not a kid falling out of bed.

Congrats on becomming a future member of the I have enough saved away from hard work and dedication to go on that trip I always wanted or I can buy those kick ass new shoes I would never have bought before club.

I disagree on the fact you are sucking the joy out of your life or something like that theory. I think that through iot all in the end you will find some enjoyment and relaxation and most certainly fun

I made it through the day and WHOOOOO HOOOOO tommorow is my day off! I can sleep and be sick and whiney!

I wish I didnt have to take life so seriously but if I dont no one will for me and since I have only been at my job a couple weeks going to work sick was my only option. And I just keep thinking...if I make my 40 hours I have a pay check big enough to buy new toys!!!!
